Sshh, I only drink on weekends, so I don't understand where the raving alcoholic comment comes from.

Similar scenes down mumbles today, I'm all for outdoor gatherings, it's harmless according to the experts, it's more likely indoor transmission will occur.

But you're all moral superiors in the dark corners of the internet.. almost all perfect citizens that do everything right without any mistake or a human error, that's why jack123 is my poty nomination

Interesting to discover that you’re in the bed wetting business. I imagine you’re a huge success.

Think what needs to be reminded is that lockdowns are primarily called to protect the NHS and keep numbers down in hospitals rather than the mortality rate albeit the both go hand in hand to a degree but ultimately hospital numbers is the main reason for lockdowns.

I think it is clear to see that once this lockdown is lifted along with the vaccinations, for many people that it will just be a free for all especially with those vaccinated getting on with things with very little thought on those still to be vaccinated, the attitude that they have been vaccinated and will be OK will be the one and only thought in their mind for many.

Luckily I come from a household where my wife has a masters in Science and mains in chemistry so can understand via her what issues we have going forward. One thing for certain is the government will have all things crossed and peeking through fingers with their hands firmly placed on their face as the next step is down to the public and the hope that we still keep our wits about us.... 😕
The massive issue as I pointed to is the youngsters not blowing their tops once the lockdown door opens. Recent pictures have shown that betting men won't be rushing to the bookies on that one.
The older and vulnerable generation still keeping their distance and protecting the ones yet to have the vaccine and not have the attitude that they have had it so I am OK Jack AND that even if the people do get it from us that they are young so will be OK..... Remember that 1 death to this virus is 1 death too many.

Outdoors is the safest place for sure but that's if you keep your distance and still regularly wash your hands..... You don't do this then the chances of catching and spreading rise 10 fold.
Those pictures show clearly that no social distancing is adhered to plus no washing of hands, Alchol being involved will just be the cherry in top as senses just go out the window that much more.

All for kids enjoying themselves and many still are but those scenes can't be condoned and the parents of those kids need to give them a good talking too if they are able to do so as so many parents have set the entitled attitude into their kids at an early stage.... Making it impossible to reason with them now.

I don’t think anyone is disputing that it is generally safe to meet outdoors while socially distancing. Even in fairly large groups of say, 5 to 10 people.

The issue is when we have situations such as the OP picture, with mass gatherings of 100s of people who are shoulder to shoulder...add in alcohol and that further numbs people to social distancing.

It’s not about ‘poor youngsters who have had it tough not being able to socialise’...I get it, we all get it. We’ve all been there over the last year. People need to be responsible and meet in smaller groups.

This isn’t about whether we open up society or not yet...I think people are missing the point a bit. For what it’s worth, I think if pub gardens were open over this Easter weekend with table service it would have cut down on plenty of these types of mass gatherings.

Bang on Swerve.

Those kids in the press are not interested in meeting a handful of friends in a beer garden but the majority of decen people would and i couldn't see a harm in this nice weather.

Exactly. All of the people in that picture had the chance to think ‘it’s a bit busy here, maybe we should go elsewhere’. I don’t buy this ‘they had nowhere else to go’ rubbish. Anyone with half a brain would know that Cardiff Bay would be a potential hotspot given the weather...of course all of those young people knew it would be heaving there. They are craving mass gatherings, concerts, nightclubs, Wind St, St. Mary’s...I get it, I’d love to be sitting in a beer garden with all my mates and bumping into people I haven’t seen in ages and meeting new people. I’m looking at the bigger picture, they are not.

It’s not being enforced so in a way I can’t blame them staying there. The government have been useless policing these ‘lockdowns’. There is no respect any more.

Cardiff Bay this evening...

Selfish beyond belief, everyone is cheesed off with lockdown, but needs must, went to N&C tiles yesterday, drove out around the back and there were dozen's and dozen's of used Nitrous Oxide bottles littering the place, plus loads of other rubbish, don't envy the Police trying to keep control.
Went down to Brynmill park yesterday to try and have a walk around, but there were loads there, drove down to the front and there were loads of youngsters with carry bags full of booze, crossing road to the beach :(
