If thsi was the case all along why has it taken the players eight games to take that control...?

I cant say I am a huge Martin fan but he has to be given credit for last nights performance

You're right.  Some credit does go to Martin now for:
- listening, and
- acquiescing
- giving the players the belief to be wholly comfortable on the ball to retain possession

One of his big issues is also one of his key strengths - a laser focus on achieving his vision.  The evidence is clear he now needs to repaint that vision, refocus and this time learn to take his senior players with him in a collective effort.

There'll always be the Patos and Obas to win over. And there won't always be such a talented, empathetic captain to facilitate the 'process'. And save his job.

(To your first point - his laser focus and stubbornness, and the vast majority of our players being too nice. The ones that have stood up to him, have paid the price, in the main. One of the best dressing room leaders that found the right balance was Cyrus Christie - had the ear of Martin and the players - they all listened - would be a good shout as player manager.......)

Well it seems the voices have spoken loud and clear.

- The case against Martin is compelling :

Martin In : Only 17% (similar on another site's Poll)
Martin Out : A whopping 83%

Matchday Expectations nowadays: Only c.19% Expect a Win

ST renewals - will have to look it up, but as per ST thread its looking bleak right now

(No doubt Mitchelmore will not be all over this thread, goes against the grain of popular press, see)

And ofc, we've plummeted down to Martin's Median again, 15th.

This HAS to change, as per senior player power change for Watford.

Let's hope the revolution takes hold, Pato and Oba are reintegrated as per, and we kick on out of the doldrums of stupid Martinball. With a grown-up, pragmatic, team-player Martin flying the flag of change at the vanguard........

Interestingly virtually the same percentages as on the Swans Indy site
