Martin holds the exit door open for Obafemi and Paterson

Payed 2M for Obafemi let’s hope we’ll get at least 3-4M back.

I think Paterson could go back to Coventry, here’s hoping anyway, Burnley will probably sign Obafemi for half of what they offered in the summer.

Burnley are Premier league bound so they don't want players like Obafemi now.

We had some warning signals about Obafemi's attitude with public quotes from Ralph Hassenhutl when was still at Southampton. He didn't get a look in with us for half a season then had a good four months, didn't get the move he wanted to Burnley and never looked the same player after that.

Now more public words again from RM about him, I do feel myself that we won't see him in a Swans shirt again.

As for Paterson? He has looked a fraction of the player he was after the announcement of his new contract last December, I was prepared to forgive and forget after he threw his toys out of the pram during that saga but he has played like a drip ever since.

It’s weird isn’t it. He seemed quite happy to bide his time last season and work his socks off to get into the team for the last half of the season. That doesn’t suggest a prima donna. But we’re then expected to believe this season he’s not prepared to work. Doesn’t make sense to me.

The plot thickens......most certainly. Of that, I'm certain.

Oba and Pato been working their socks off. Contributing to the greater good of a better way of playing that isn't Martinball.

The door is certainly not closed for Pato and Oba, and hasn't been as closed as some have thought / (hoped, wtf ?)

You heard it here first......... PS, the place for proper Swans news for proper Swans fans.

As has always been the case, if you don’t want to play for the Swans, cheerio, fck off

It’s honestly no more difficult than that.

And we move on.

Don’t be a fanboy of any of these passing through players. To be fair, taken me some years to realise this, but now I have (some years ago) very relaxed about it.

Swans. Love them. The players (most of them) whatever

The thing is, they Do want to play for the Swans.

Just not Martinball's way of playing Stupidball, for the Swans.

And they are far more integral than folk give them credit for.

Such a shame we can’t see Obafemi in this setup over the past few games. He’d be so dangerous.

These two are a disgrace.

Boys earning a fraction of what they're on like Congreve, Cullen, Cooper run their balls off and nearly get us a result against top of the league.

Burnley depth was staggering, bringing on established Premier league players like Barnes and Gudmumdson while two of our most high profile attacking talents are having a poody.

They don't deserve to wear the shirt ever again.

And Obafemi is in dreamland if he thinks the likes of Kompany and Bellamy are still going to want his moody lazy ars about their side.

Looks like Piroe can't be arsed at all either, hopefully he's low on energy rather than pouting.

Only one person is choosing not to play Oba.

Yes looks to me like he's knackered rather than not interested or pouting. He was trying but he tried didn't come off.

I'm no Martin apologist but there must be a reason for it. He hasn't randomly decided to drop him. There's a pattern here around transfer windows with him.

Other players like Manning are obviously open to going but are also obviously still giving their all.

From the outside looking in, its pretty clear its Obafemi/ Paterson playing silly buggers here.

In 30+ years of following the Swans I'm struggling to recall many occasions where players have been frozen out completely. In eighteen months of Russell Martin it's happened what? Four or five times? Maybe more? Either he's been very unlucky with recruitment or there's a theme developing here.

I don't doubt Oba is a handful to manage but equally I don't doubt that Russy is a Martinet type. There has to be a better way of doing things than dropping a player completely and then slagging him off in public, especially when the player in question hasn't done an awful lot wrong on the pitch.

The only other ones besides these two clowns were really were Fulton and Bennett and reading between the lines those two were very similar circumstances to what Cooper had to do with Routledge - financial decisions. You can't really count Ogbeta because we have no idea if he's any good and we don't need to displace Manning anyway.

Obafemi's done a fair bit wrong on the pitch in fairness. He has not had a good season. 3 goals for a player of his undoubted ability is a poor return. And he's had the chances.

Makes his strops look even more pathetic. Could half understand if there were clubs banging on the door willing to pay big money for him.

The boy literally put on his social media accounts “money comes first”, he doesn’t want to be here. Move him on and get whatever we can. Two managers in a row now have questioned his professionalism publicly.
