Grimes plays far to deep between CB's . His passes are mainly short he is far to far from the opponents goal to hurt them. Luke has this crazy idea of full backs coming into midfield to supplement Grimes. Better he coached Key and Tymon how to tackle because neither can defend.
Last 3 away games the wheels have truly come off. Grimes looking far from the tactical genius many believe he is.

Not doubting his technical ability and his passing. But to be a midfielder you need more armoury. He lacks physicality, pace and his goals ratio is pretty poor even though he plays deep.

It worked to perfection vs QPR - when Williams was excluded and our players played to a proper script with our proper captain leading the way, in the right way.

Both Key and Tymon contributed highly effectively in the inside triangles and tucked back out when it needed it - the triangles were a massive blast from our very best past - it is SO the wtg - the players know it, the proper fans know it and the proper management team totally now get it.

Grimes was the tactical genius who strategized it and executed it - with massive aplomb.

Some fans really ought to think, before they type.

Anyone that's played the game to a proper level (esp in CM) will know that Grimesy is the very best we have in that pivotal space. He's also the very best we have at implementing (the manager's) strategy. And he does it with the highest levels of professionalism and commitment to the common cause. Week in, week out ad infinitum. The ultimate pro and any manager's dream of a Captain.

However for someone of Grimesy's dedication to the common cause to now be floundering as to how to can continue to support a manager who is completely out of his depth, speaks volumes of the dire straits we're under with this calamitous fraud of a manager at Martinesque levels of incompetence, unprofessionalism and selfish self-indulgence.

Grimesy did it for Martin - dug him out of a gargantuan stinking hole, on and off the pitch. Showed him the way for us to go on that run which saved Martin his job, his sanity and gave him the platform to leave us in the lurch at the very first opportunity (thank heck).

Grimesy cannot now do the same for Williams. We need our El Capitan to lead us away from Williams' losing rotten ways and back to our winning blueprint with proper support from the effective quorum management team (Marge, Sheez, Joey et al).

In Matty & Co we trust. As per.
The manager has a strategy 😳

Did you watch the last 3 away games? We conceded 10 goals. I would not say that tactic that worked at home to QPR was as effective away from home

I was being kind, kind of.

In reality right now, the winning strategy is our winning blueprint - devised and executed by Matty & Co
Then why, as club captain in particular, doesn't he do it every week?

Stop avoiding the question

The last sentence is the biggest irony there I've ever seen 🤣
