I'd take Cornforth even at his current age before Fulton.
Are you not a fan? Do you not like the way he squares up to opponents like he means business, but then doesn’t actually do anything? 🤣

I don’t know what’s happened to the bloke. He was a half decent footballer at one stage who’d bust a gut to make things happen. He spends all his time in no man’s land these days. Franco’s just highlighted how little he offers now.

It’s a shame really. I feel for him.

Lad has outstayed his welcome.

He should have moved on after Martin froze him out, too happy picking up his wages for doing naff all though.

He has, but to be fair to him, he's not the only one. Naughton shouldn't have had a new contract, nor Allen. There's also a very good argument we shouldn't have given one to Cabango either if you base it on his performance levels over several seasons. And we're probably very close to Darling signing a new deal once the Williams situation is clarified, another humdrum average player.

This is a club that rewards mediocrity.

To a certain degree I can understand Naughton and Allen, at least they've been good footballers at some point.

I'm still scratching my head to understand what Fulton has offered in a Swans shirt.

Weirdly enough I never thought Fulton looked out of place when he played for us in the prem. he looks a pub player now

You need one or two of these types in a squad though And - experienced pros who love the club and are good influences

Yeah, the one we should have given an extension to was Rangel. He went to QPR and they thought a lot of his contribution on the pitch but they were ecstatic at his contribution off it with young professionals at the club.

Respectfully disagree on Darling. There’s a CB with potential there. Cabango always good for a mistake but is solid most of the time. Can’t be that bad if he managed to snuff out Lewandowski when playing for Wales.

Over the last 15 months or so Naughton has looked a class above at times. But not the player he was and also he can’t play as often as we’d like. So I’m not sure whether that means he’s been worth it or not. Possibly not, but I’d imagine he’s valuable in the dressing room.

We probably should have had one or the other of him or Joey. It’s tough to carry two players who struggle for game time (and earn a lot) however valuable their experience is.

Heartening to see Lukey salivating all over Matty at the final whistle, yet again.

Posted elsewhere:
‘West Brom pundits: ‘killer pass by their playmaker Matt Grimes’… for our devastating equalizer at the death.

Imagine our team without Matty’s calm, assured, measured, confidence and control driving and caressing our key actions.

We have no other player remotely capable of doing what our manager demands of our captain and leader in that most pivotal of pivotal roles (other than a fit Joey, obvs).

And before the usual suspects foam at the mouth - top tip, think before you bash
