What about the recent drubbings we’ve had with Grimes playing? We’ve lost better players than him and managed pretty fine, we’ve got to adjust granted and we need some bodies but in a few weeks people won’t notice him.

Nah. This one is on the manager, like quite a few others recent times. My heart sunk somewhat when the realisation that we were playing three at the back dawned on me. The two goals are quite inexcusable, lapses which only come from a fractured environment. The performance called for a change at half time, to lessen some incorrectly shaped pegs but was not surprised to see the same old. Then, I knew the hour was up as our subs board went up. Right on cue. We are being coached by the equivalent of painting by numbers.

See, as much as we seem to have polar opinions, I am with you on the absolute plimsoll that is Williams. Not interested in Martin as he's old news. Dukey is potentially the most clueless manager we've had in my time supporting OUR club, and that includes Bradley and Cullis. I have often advocated Grimes being our best midfielder (with the ball) if played higher up the pitch but, I think, your 2 favourite managers sucked all his best attributes out of him.
