I am shocked at that. Losing our captain and ever present (regardless of what we think of him) to another championship club in the January window just reeks of a club in crisis.

This could go one of two ways.

All depends on a few things including transfer fee and a replacement.

Blimey, where the hell has this come from?

For all of our current faults, I’m certain that those attributed to Grimes could be corrected by alternative coaching. He’s still first name on my team sheet.

We’d better have a cunning plan, that’s all I can say.

Oh, and we have them next. We can probably pencil in a Fulton - Franco midfield for Saturday.

Anyone who has any faith that we’ll bring in adequate replacements (or indeed any replacements at all) clearly hasn’t been paying attention. We’re shit at recruitment. A club on a downward spiral.

According to LiveScore we’ve rejected two bids from Coventry for him.

Not keen on this unless we’ve got a replacement lined up. Going through the rest of the season with Fulton and maybe half a Joe Allen would be a disaster.
