Morgan Whittaker

He's been out for a little while, can you see any of our front players scoring a goal of that quality?
Flo could do that playing in his favoured position - wide left cutting in
Culls could too, cutting in from the right

Williams is all at sea, in loads of ways right now.

No doubting that he's got quality, I don't think that's ever been in question.
Have a look at the Plymouth message boards to see what they think of his performances this season.
It'll be interesting to see what their new manager gets out of him, so far only Schumacher has really made him realise his potential.

4 goals in 20 games in an injury-hit season so far. Not a great ratio but still better than the majority of our attacking players could dream of. Not to mention his 20 in 50 last season of course.

A player like that I think you accept will have fluctuations in form, but at least he has the talent to score goals like that, not many of our current players have displayed that potential.

Good goal but that's only his 4th this season
He was well on course to hit 20 goals while on loan at Plymouth in League 1 for the season before the owners pulled him back looking to make a quick buck.

Then when Plymouth bought him at a cut price after he demanded to leave (a situation I don't blame him for in the slightest) he hit 20 goals last season in the Championship.

I don't judge his goal contribution this season at all considering he was under the instruction of Wayne Rooney who might have been an excellent striker and goal scorer himself but his talent for managing a football team is something else, I have never known a manager to turn 3 successive sides from promotion candidates or mid table security into relegation contenders (and that's even giving him a free pass for his time at Derby).

If memory serves, Rooney was the manager who moved Whittaker on from Derby to us in the first place.

Be interesting to see how he does under a different boss.
