New European League Announced Tonight

Best thing to have come out of this whole fiasco so far, the utter c*nt. Man United can now blame it all on him when it finishes falling apart, but only the very dullest will believe them.

Would be lovely if this leads to UEFA, FIFA, PL and the other domestic leagues introducing reforms to limit the spending power of these clubs and spreading the wealth to encourage competition, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.

Even though the "European Super League" is unravelling before our eyes and the rats are leaving the sinking ship, the "greedy six" should be held to account, 12 point deduction, starting immediately.

I love that the players are speaking up, you don't become a footballer if you don't love the sport.

Yep, footballers talking bout greed is fckn hysterical tbh.

I looked at a Man Utd forum last night, while the thing was still on and was pleasantly surprised to read how the majority of the fans were against it.

Tonight a read through a Real Madrid fans forum, still reading Monday's posts, they all appear to love the idea, talking about the players they would sign, notably from teams not 'invited' and bemoaning how they lost 400M over the last few years, not once acknowledging why they lost so much money.

I have no doubt, the driving reason for this is to survive due to the vast overspending the teams have enjoyed at the expense of everyone else over the years, I'm also convinced that once they have devoured the money from this they would be looking for the next savior to come along and bail them out.

I'm of the opinion that the only thing that can save football for all, is that these leech clubs go bust.
