These sides are massively in debt ,the Spanish league is a non entity bar the two big boys offers nothing
The Italian league the same
The 6 with us massive debt
All pure greed and desperation by the Spanish and Italian
The germans and the prem still command big gates and money ,french game isn't as big but not bust like the others

I did think Real Madrid and Barcelona were owned by fan members and not shareholders. How that works legally is another question but maybe more backlash to come there.

The Barcelona socios are trying to push( for it to be taken to a vote according to some reports. The issue for them an Real is that they are effectively bust and desperate for the money this would bring.

Chelsea may be wavering apparently. And they have an issue with the fans vehicle that owns their pitch and name.
I recall Chelsea had similar issues when they were looking at expansion plans which may have involved relocation.

They did. It was when they were looking at buying Battersea Power Station.

One interesting point by the way.

We’re all referring to it as the European Super League. It’s not. It’s just called the Super League.

Invites for LA Galaxy and Guangzhou as expansion teams? This may be just the start of a worldwide franchising vehicle. Clubs will be set up to play in it.

I don’t have Sky and I won’t be taking out a subscription to watch this new competition, they can shove it ..........

The whole concept makes me sick, these teams have far more resources than most of the club’s in their leagues and they just want more and more. It will ruin the competitive nature of the league which is a significant part of the attraction of the PL where a lot of the teams can beat each other.

I dont watch the euro games much, just the odd one, so I am with Shearer, throw em out, fed up of having their names rammed down our screens since the mid 60s, when half the games they show with them involved are crap anyway.

Time to root out the "scavengers" as Neville said.

You're mostly right, except for saying the Spanish league is a non-entity bar the two big boys. Atletico Madrid have won 3 Europa League finals since 2009/10 and reached 2 Champions League finals. Sevilla have won 6 Europa Leagues since 2005/06, including 4 of the last 7 finals!

Even taking out Real and Barcelona, Spanish clubs have won more European tournament competitions than all the PL teams combined since 2000 (10 to 8). Of course all of the 8 wins by PL teams are by clubs who are part of the Super League cabal.

If the Spanish league without Real and Barcelona is a non-entity, then the English league without the 'Big 6' is even less than that...

Aside from that, I'm loving Perez' cheek to state that they're doing this to 'save football'. Apparently less youngsters are watching football these days and the Super League will change all that. Obviously he knows he's talking bollocks, but surely at least one journalist has the stones to point out just what those youngsters are doing with their free time instead and that a new tournament is unlikely to change that.

Your right but what I was alluding to is that those big two rule the roost granted athletico have musculed in but across Spain 🇪🇸 these two are the teams most follow .
Historically the government of Spain have helped them before now
Spanish kids love football but I think have become bored of the league, same in Italy
Where as the premier ,german and to a point the French have been ticking along nicely
The 6 within ours are skint and see a fitted cow

So the Premier League doesn’t want the top teams leaving as it will affect their revenue stream.

Sounds like you support it? You might want to clarify your stance there.

Gary Neville is currently getting himself banned from old trafford for life.

Good for him! Hope others have the same cajones!

All yanks should be banned from the sport of football, players, coaches and owners. They have no right to be anywhere near the game. Fuck off and stick with your netball, rounders and padded up rugby.

If they hadn't beaten Gillingham in the play off final not so long ago, then not a chance theyd be where they are. Owners literally no grip on history or reality.

listening to the anger and feelings from across the UK , I have a feeling that if the 6 don't go, Theyve scored a big own goal, and have initiated a move that will lose them their so called support, and of course revenue.

Good point, plus if they do back down the abuse those clubs will get next season ( with crowds back in) will be off the scale.

 Would love to see in the next PL game each of the greedy 6 play, the opposition takes to the field then refuses to play.

Swansea City v Leeds United
