New investment?

I never agreed with legal action, the costs involved and the time legal action takes it was never going to provide what members wanted even if the case was successful. It was all about revenge against the former board but was going to cause issues for everyone at the club now.

No it wasn't. it was about the destruction and prejudice of minority interests in a multimillion pound company by an unfair and illegal act by the majority.

But what will the legal action achieve against the former board? Nothing can be done now even if the case is won it will be a Pyrrhic victory

It will give the Trust the money it needs if the poop ever hits the fan again, it'll mean the club will have a fall back strategy should the worse happen, that was the ideals of the Trust all along.

If the case is won, surely that means the former board will have acted inappropriately and will be potentially liable to pay damages to the claimant - The trust.

Just read an article on the clubs lack of transfer funds and the Drameh transfer being unlikely to happen unless the club is loaned more money by directors. It could be nothing comment, but it's inclusion seems telling.

If there's nothing in it, wouldn't it be more realistic to state the transfer won't happen unless we sell more players?

Just a strange cryptic comment at the end of the article in opinion.

I'm not really optimistic that any more funds would be made available even if we sell more players, the owners seem to want out with as little investment as possible...

Yes maybe I posted this on the wrong thread because it's not investment and neither would another loan be

No idea why this thread was bumped, but it is interesting reading given what happened a few weeks later, despite the denials at the time.

Just a comment in an article alluding to more loans from directors to cover transfer fees. Maybe I'm looking too far into it but the fact that a loan from a director is mentioned at all is notable.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if more are needed, if we don't sell Piroe. We must have been running at a £15m deficit last season, and this. The Downes money only goes so far.

The fee would be over double that.

Would be amazed if perm is on the cards, loan if Leeds decide late on in the window he’s not needed there imo.

** and even then I think those down the road would be favourites.

Are Swansea Indy reliable information sources?

I'd say they throw a lot out there, so some of it is bound to be correct. They're far from alone in doing that of course. The tabloids link a club with 20 players and crow how switched on they are when one comes off, while pretending the other 19 player links were nothing to do with them.
