The next three games are all against average mid table Championship sides and winnable with the kind of performance that we put in against Blackburn, and a result in the fourth against Burnley could be too.

It's a hell of an audition for Sheehan, and would be far more telling about his future ability to do the job than any interview would be.

This is precisely the type of negativity our Club nor our proper fans need right now.

With all due respect Chiefo you don't strike me as a go-getting high achiever, so maybe dial down your constant, tiresome gloom 'n doom.

Meritocracy rules, always.

Let the games begin....... exciting times........
Your perception of me is way off then.

Realism beats airheaded delusion everytime.

I await my Whoosh.

The dynamic changes when caretakers / interims become permanent.

I'd be concerned considering all the other obvious issues at the club, if we went into next season with Sheehan at the helm.

Anyone going to pass this rumour on here?

Or does it come with a 10yr jail sentence if mentioned 😁

Many, especially in the Cardiff boardroom, overlook this absolute truth.

They come in low pressure, if they fail, generally they're unlikely to be worse than the predecessor. And the state of the squad / predecessor etc can be blamed anyway if they do or make no difference.

But what happens when they have a clean slate - their own pre-season and fresh new season? That's when the real pressure is.

Players tend to up their performances and the fear of an unknown can drive them on.
Once the dust settles and familiarity sets in then it settles back down to a level.

You could certainly argue that this would be the case even if a new manager came in and they would be spot on. Big decision this one is going to be.

It's been a funny few weeks.
Posters hearing rumours but won't say because they would have to kill us.
Former posters running the recruitment.

I'm not ruling out the possibility of MrSumbler actually becoming the new coach and another member on here becoming our star striker for next season.
Can't rule anything out with Captain America running the show and being Gi Joe advising.

The rumours are nothing to do with manager search either, so makes me think there’s another boardroom shake up coming if they’re true of course.
