• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Now Bale wants to buy Cardiff as well as Plymouth

Not sure but the last team to suffer back to back relegations to League 1 was Sunderland (a 'bigger' club than Cardiff by some distance) and it took them 4 seasons to get back to the Championship.

I believe Wolves were the previous team and they did it first time. So history would suggest we have no real guide as to what will happen with Cardiff. The amount of departures and lack of signings doesn't suggest they're going to storm the league however.

I'm basing it purely on Cardiffs squad and the strength of league 1 this season. They've managed to actually shed a lot of mercenaries like Meite, El Ghazi and crocks like Ramsey. They seem more stable and low key than they've been in years to be honest. Which is disappointing I was hoping for a proper exodus.

Only Birmingham bounced straight back last season and they spent a fortune in the process. The year before none of the relegated sides did. Nor the year before that.

It's not likely to be the cakewalk they think that it is.

You can't go by their fans, they won't walk the league or set a record points total or anything like that.

Fat tomato back at it again, youngsters are the "new kings"😂😂

Colwill as VC too lol, more leadership in my little toe

There is something seriously lacking in that dickhead. I suppose he's just feeding them the bullshit they all gobble.

you have to love the delusion

Re: Our first four league games

10 points minimum for me but on paper it should be 12. We have Luton away and Plymouth home after that two sides I expect to be in the automatic hunt.

We are the biggest team in this league. Every game against us for most teams will be their cup final time to show we are the big dogs and put them in their place.

I'm optimistic. I was against the appointment of BBM but he speaks well and has a clear philosophy and isn't scared to make an example of players not committed eg Willock.

I think we'll win the first four.

I loves it when I see that middle line I highlighted 🤣

Luton or Wimbledon win tonight and score more than Cardiff tomorrow will stop them.

I didn’t realise there was a game tonight…bah.

I think they’ll lose tomorrow anyway.
And what a humdinger it looks. 0-0 HT. Looton 66% possession 2 shots none on target, Wombles no shots.

Not sure if anyone reads Four Four Two magazine, but every year they do a pretty decent in-depth season preview. As part of it they invite a relatively prominent and well informed fan to predict how they think their team will do (for context, our representative is Steve Carroll of the SOS fanzine).

Cardiff's contributor skewers them, and predicts a 24th place finish, with tongue only partly in cheek.

They're in an absolute mess. The idea they'll do a Birmingham and piss the league - like that clown ABSwan has highlighted above seems to think - is absolutely mental.

Not sure, they seem buzzing on Twitter about their new captain and vice captain. One posted genuinely said salech and Robinson would get 60 goals and assists between them too 😂😂

Peterborough are pretty poor, finished 18th last season and have lost 4/5 of their top players. Scum couldn't have asked for a much better fixture to start with.
