• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

If he keeps performances like today up… what a signing he will be.

I'll see your Ntcham, and raise you a Downes.

Ntcham looks a footballer mind.

I made Downes MOM today as he got us through the lines quicker reguarly. But the Ntcham performance was superb. Just before he went off we broke and Bidwell went on the flank Ntcham played a lovely ball and took out the covering Hull player, looks a proper footballer.

Early days. Even the Celtic fans who slagged him off would mostly admit he's never been short of quality, just application at times. If he's fit, focused and on his game he should be too good for this division.

I was hugely impressed with him today, he looked hungry and up for it and his quality on the ball was obvious.
On the flipside Paterson was as disappointing and anonymous as Ntcham stood out for all the opposite reasons.
I am hoping its a confidence thing since Paterson was pretty heavily involved in our earlier games.

Really enjoyed watching him today, great vision and didn't look afraid of anything.

Would love to see a fast winger on Ethan's side of the pitch, someone he can overlap with and play those give and goes.

Thought he was excellent and definitely could play at PL level.
Just hope it is with us

What i liked (was a little irked by at times) was that he played his own way...nothing made him change his way of playing or the pace that he played it. 8-)

The encouraging thing is the business we've done is good.
Laird looks strong, Piroe has been delivering already, Obafemi has all the qualities to get goals at this level, Ntcham is somebody I'd have been excited about even if we were still in the Prem, Downes a strong box to box midfielder and defensively we looked so much more solid with Williams and Naughton.

We've gone from a team devoid of quality to one with much more potential and I'm sure there is a huge amount of potential for future earnings off that lot, without even including Cabango, Benda, Grimes, Whittaker etc.

Dhanda seems to have been banished from the team too, not before time

We won't miss Connor this season, if Laird stays fit.

Downes isn't a box to box midfielder, he spent a lot of the game in the CB position, or just in front of them. I said in another thread yesterday, if he can be consistent, I'll be surprised if he isn't our player of the year at the end of the season. What i saw of Walsh in his limited game time, he looks to be more of a box to box player.

Very optimistic for the next year or two.
