‘my life as a chronic gambling addict’

Documentary on you tube… unbelievable.

There's a good youtube podcast he done with James English as well.

Going to see him on the 13th in the grand theatre with the other sky sports pundits (Jeff Stelling, Matt Le Tissier etc). Really looking forward to it.

If he put as much effort into curbing it as he did talking about it ....it wouldn't be a problem.

I was tempted to go but £42 each is a little steep I thought!

What's he going to gamble with if he don't charge that? 🤣

Him and Gazza were once shacked up in a hotel and took a sleeping tablet each
They put money in an ashtray and which ever one of them stayed awake the longest took the money.
Totally bonkers bloke regardless of his addiction.

He lost over £7 million, some bookies used to offer him £10k free bets to keep his custom…incredible.

I remember seeing it Lifey. He also met parents of gamblers who had taken their own lives.
Very sad and tragic.
Mwrson had also gambled away the deposit he had saved with his missus for a mortgage 🙈

He rents his house and works. This is part of getting some money back. Loved the bit where he acknowledges that if Cottee had come to Arsenal he would have struggled to get a game. Saw Merson and Gazza play against Reading, not one pass to each other all game. Very good player, total natural.

He’d have nothing to talk about then though

Money aye, the root of all evil, hope he stays on the right path, but basically you make your own bed, some things are out of your control, those circumstances get my utmost sympathy...

Yeah because that’s how addiction works 🙄
