Russys Leaving Party

I think the reason I never took to Martin (aside from his mind numbing, pedestrian football) is the fact he's clearly a very PR motivated manager.

His little performance in the press conference after the January window to show the fans it wasn't his fault, his constant justification of poor performances by saying how many positives he could take from the games, his repeated insistence that we had such a young team (when he had more experienced players that he chose not to play), the list goes on.

How many times have you heard of managers having a leaving party with their squad? I certainly can't remember hearing of it before, yet here we have a nice posed photo of Martin smiling in the centre of the squad he's chosen to leave to show he's a great guy who gets on so well with his players.

I strongly suspect he'll get found out at Southampton and can't see him being there by the end of the season

Brilliant post and so true.

Not arguing your point but we wouldn’t know about the party if the venue hadn’t posed on social media. I doubt it’s unusual to have send off if the parting of ways is ‘amicable’ or at the very least mutual, and with everyone kicking their heels until there was some movement it’s not really unreasonable to have a little bash.

Oh yes of course, although it wasn't a candid photo so clearly everyone agreed to pose for it, knowing it would be posted on social media

The picture is just another cog in his well oiled bullshit machine.

There’s a number of posters in this here thread taking the piss, who if invited, would have been there like a fucking shot 🙈🤣

Apparently nobody enjoyed the food it took to long to come out from the back

When it did arrive they all passed it back anyway.

Apart from Fisher, his somehow ended up on the floor behind him

Apparently they all played pass the parcel, it went on for 90 minutes then Fisher dropped it.

Especially Dazzler.

Russ said whilst there were issues with the evening the staff at the restaurant were a young group and still learning and he was very proud of their effort and can't question their commitment. He said "It's not the taste of the food that matters but trying to make it taste good is all that matters".

Patterson went off in strop because his egg wasn't runny and he refused to eat his food.

They just had to take the photo while I was in the toilet...
