S25/26 | MATCHDAY | Portsmouth v Swansea | 7.45pm | Sky + | The EFL Championship | Fratton Park

Don't know where all the optimism about tonight is coming from, we have lost something like 8 out of the last 10 away games and Ronald and Eom are starting, another defeat I'm predicting, love to be proven wrong but can't see it myself.
Midfield looks unbalanced to me. Of all the options, I don’t like the look of this one that much.

I still think we’ll win, but this won’t be easy, and we’ll need to come out with an aggressive attitude, not look pretty for 20 mins and concede a set piece, or surrender straight away like last time out away.

Is it right that if our last 10 away form matched home we’d be top, and if vice versa we’d be bottom (deductions aside)? Thats our schizophrenic team in a nutshell. If we start winning away, we’ll probably start losing at home.

I’d imagine we would be as we’ve won the last 8 and drawn two at home.

Going against the current accepted wisdom, but I wouldn't start with Fulton, he's better as a last 20 mins sub to park the bus. I'd have started with Widell or Stamenic.

I’d have started with Widdell and Stamenic and (shoot me) Yalcouye for Galbraith. As Yalcouye’s not our player though, he should be sacrificed for the last 10 games so we can find our best balanced midfield. Who knows, maybe tonight’s will click.

I was thinking by the way (novel for me since retirement), some seem to be fretting about losing Galbraith or Potnik or Stamenic. For me, my biggest worry is actually Larry Vigoroux, probably followed by Tymon.

That’s the Key we want more of.

Just as a cross flies in from the other side.
