S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 PNE 1 | Att: 20,233 | 24/02/26 | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

I know Vic sees him every day in training, but my impression is Walta's not yet match fit and hasn't had enough time to adjust to the Championship. He shouldn't be starting.

Very impressed with Key tonight. I know they were on the back foot second half which meant he could go forward more, but he got more good crosses in than Ronald has all season. Bit of a risk playing him at right back against Ipswich, but if we don't take the game to them, they'll thrash us anyway, so put Galbraith in midfield and put Key there.
100%. I am not the biggest fan of Key at RB but his attacking was so good and to be fair has been for a while. He has habit of giving ball away, but Ronald was really disappointing tonight. So hot and cold.

The preston comms said he didnt come out for the 2nd half not sure if that was true but when the camera panned at 75ish they'd all gone.
Wierd thing to do if you’re meant to be a PR genius. Anyway back to normality. As somebody pointed out earlier the second half showed us our best starting 11.

Agree with all of this

Snoop nor his entourage came out for second half. Shame because he saw the worst of us in the first 45. Did something I never do but my bladder had other ideas. I left just before equaliser went in. Next time will wear a nappy!

My word 🤬 only we can position ourselves at the centre of social media and then serve up a stinker of a half like that. Matos is really going to need to pick the bones out of that; the midfield just simply didn’t function. The subs were so damn obvious it’s hard to give Matos credit, but at least he made the change at half time and didn’t wait for the hour mark. Not for the first time we’ve given an absolutely garbage side a great leg up in a game; the extent of how crap they were was seen for almost the entire second half. A smashing header from Cullen, so sweet to do it when he did.

BTW - were the towels Snoop asked the crowd to wave with were made by Martha Stuart?

Maybe 🤔 it will encourage him to bring more money to the club
Imagine if Modric was in attendance he would of sat through whole match. We all know its a different deal for Snoop. It benefits both sides. I don't imagine he even knows much about the team or cares to the extent many of us do. That's not a bad thing. He did his end of the bargain and brought eyes on the club. I'm just happy we didn't lose tonight 😂

Still think it's clear Matos is trying to find right formula with midfield. I don't know why he doesn't play Yalcouye more often. My biggest complaint really is that I feel he has gotten this wrong a few times. Its all a learning process. But think tonight should tell him that combination doesn't work.

As for the spectacle and everything before the game, it’s mission accomplished. Swansea City Football Club is being talked about in all corners of the UK, and wider still. This particular seed of growth is developing well.

Poor performance tonight, no dressing that up, better in the second half but the first set the bar so low that even one accurate pass would have been an upgrade.
I praised Ben and Cam at the weekend for their doggedness but tonight they showed their limitations on the ball and why we need to look for ball-playing CBs.
Stamenic has been a big miss in the last 2 games, and it was evident tonight that Walta needs time as he looked lost out there, but to be fair so did everyone in the first half.

Positives: Malik and Nunes were good and a late equaliser sent everyone home happy, good header from Culls. Not a downer, just a reality check, work in progress.
