• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I think one of the main features of the game was the number of times our players took the wrong option when presented with a goal chance.
Vip when he intercepted the back pass but took an extra touch after rounding the keeper instead of hitting it with his left.
Yalcoure trying to head that long cross to the far post at shin height instead of volleying it.
Parker taking an extra touch and ruining the angle when running onto the ball in the area instead of hitting it.
Cullen being a c*nt for putting a simple chance to win it over the bar from twelve yards out with time and space.
Vipotnik obviously has absolutely no left foot otherwise he’d have hit it after going round the keeper.

He has a fantastic right foot shot. Little else.

Edited to add - he did appear to make some effort tonight which is good. He seems unfit to me though. Unless he’s actually just very slow.

Fulton has been consistently bad for several seasons, Fisher was never given a real chance by many fans, I’m not saying he’s Gordon Banks but he’s a capable keeper in my opinion.
Benda was the fans favourite but he made as many mistakes as Fisher did but they got overlooked.
Benda was an excellent shot stopper who was criminally left out to dry by a defence and coaching philosophy that left him more exposed than a plumbers arse.

Fisher by contrast was better with his feet but still exposed by such a system but was (and still is) terrible at commanding his box. As his confidence dropped he also had a number of howlers letting in routine saves

I hated the way we played tonight. Williams redux. That must not be allowed to take hold.

Fulton and Fisher are terrible players, just awful. As long as they are kept out of serious games, that’s ok.

Otherwise, the likes of Widdell, Inoussa etc, just need games to jelly and get up to speed before we have any idea how good they are. A few wins, more confidence, and everyone might look very different. The creativity - lack of - looks a real problem at the moment.

These are the type of performances you see in the cup, Crawley was not much better and like I said earlier there’ll be fans all over the country moaning on their way home tonight.
Pull Cardiff out of the hat next round and then let’s see how we go is it.

Selective memory there, I remember Benda being beaten on his near post several times ..Burnley comes to mind for a start

Christ cop, comparing fisher to benda is one hell of a take

In which way???like I said, some people have selective memories, Benda made as many howlers as Fisher did but Benda wasn’t brought in by a manager that many of you despised…fact!!

I think Eom could have played Widdel's role tonight. More central but more creative there.

I would be lying if I said that I remembered every goal that Fisher and Benda conceded, and old man memory may make my recollection faulty but I do remember being pissed off at Fisher far more often than I remember being pissed off by Benda for goalkeeping errors.

I was extremely worried by how Widell and Inoussa played tonight. Widell looks like a dud.
Inoussa has more about him going forward, but he does like a stupid foul. One of those led to their goal tonight. He needs to use more judgement in the heat of battle.

Embarrassing post simple as that.
