• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I was extremely worried by how Widell and Inoussa played tonight. Widell looks like a dud.
Inoussa has more about him going forward, but he does like a stupid foul. One of those led to their goal tonight. He needs to use more judgement in the heat of battle.
A bit harsh to call a foul just inside our own half as a stupid foul. You will see dozens of those every game.

We were crying out for a winger to just run onto a ball to force their back 4 to run towards their own goal tonight.......mainly on our left side.

I feel that Eom,Inoussa and even Ronald(who didn't play tonight) don't offer that and all seem to want the ball played to feet.

A few little tweaks and I think we have a decent team especially as we look more of a solid foundation defensively.
I like Stamenic.....excellent player.

All good pens by us. Fish made the difference.
Fish kept us in that game. We’d have been out after 90 if not for several sharp saves against one-on-ones. You’d think he could claim a cross landing inside his 6 yard box, but apart from that he was good. Not Vig good, but a lot better than he was under Martin/Willy.

His interview perhaps wasn’t the cleverest before the game. Said he immediately identified the Watford kid who scored as a threat and took him out
I remember Ron Atkinson saying Man United were being bullied by Steve McMahon and were 2-0 down at Anfield. He sent Norman Whiteside on who promptly kicked McMahon up in the air. United went on to draw 2-2.

Nothing wrong with Stamenic telling it like it is. Hopefully he’ll scare the opposition half to death before a game. And you can’t deny it worked a treat.

That was what I liked about Parker. He got us up the pitch. He’s not bagging a starting slot any time soon, but his direct running and willingness to get down the line was refreshing tonight.

Fisher is a decent keeper but capable of brain farts.

What worries me is that Fulton appears to be riding down his contract. His performances are so poor they look like deliberate acts. No one is going to pay a penny for him and I think that's what he wants. Just see out his time with us. Awful situation

Just back from that, apart from the one bright spot in vips goal it was dire. Keep ball at the back with very little penetration. Too many poor performances. Yalcooey looked handy and Galbraith was good but sorry from that the rest were junk. Lucky not to lose that but for the fish blocking a few by accident 😂.

I thought Parker played well tonight and he was rapid a couple of times he had space to run into.....quicker than I thought.

Fook Fulton was doing tonight mind!
Playing central midfield but continually receiving the ball at right centre back/right back in the 1st half.

His time is genuinely up with us now......it's not even a debate.

I was crying out for eom to put a fucking cross into the box with VIP waiting there, I was sorely disappointed

Pretty poor across the board, Widell in particular had a stinker apart from his pen. Fair play Fisher kept us in the game, apart from vips screamer, no stand out moment in the game, we're through, let's move on, S.Wed will be tough Saturday after their win on pens over nasty Leeds

Widell hasn’t looked like a dud in the last two games he’s come on though. Inoussa also a raw talent who will get better I reckon. I don’t like managers skipping the basics and going off on one. Even if it was an unimportant Cup game.
