We have so many flaky players I think it’s just a matter of getting lucky with the selection on any given day. So inconsistent. Widell looked good today, he’ll probably disappear if he starts on Friday!

At least now we have a structure and, individual f**kwittery aside, we’ll be competitive. The mistakes are really frustrating though…so many games tossed away.

Eom shows moments although also slows us down (had Eom been still on the pitch he wouldn’t have put in a brilliant first time ball to Vip for our gaol).

Ronald, Cullen and Key aren’t up to it imo. Cullen would be ok in a 442 next to a Kieffer Moore type. Otherwise I stuggle to see where he can play. He can’t do the ball playing part of a number 10. He’s a striker/second striker.

Burgess is worrying me too. He started brilliantly but is fading fast. Tymon needs some help and a bit of a rest some time. Franco’s dropped off.

Vigeroux’s consistently good though!
Samuel's-Smith has looked decent enough and could allow for Tymon to rest.

We need to trust the young players more, Carey, Parker and Samuels-Smith can all do a job.

Missed the last 10 minutes, bit gutted with the loss, it's gone now, I'm sure lessons will be learned.
Onwards and upwards. Keep the faith.👍

We were absolutely in it and deserved at least a draw
I said before the game I would have accepted a positive performance even if we lost and I stand by that

I try to avoid making a player a scapegoat but Key's performance truly was dire, fresh legs on the pitch and Sorba Thomas who had been playing for 60+ minutes already had him on toast from the first second. Can't even take a consolation in saying that his offensive contributions made up for his defensive shortcomings because he was equally shocking in attack too

I would genuinely like to see Parker taking his place, he has genuine pace and if we work on it the partnership with him and Inoussa who is equally quick might earn us real dividends.
It looks like Key's confidence is shot. I think there is still a player in there, but maybe he needs to go out on loan to a League One club in January to get his mojo back without costing us points.

He can stay in league one in my opinion. The other players have picked themselves up. He came on fresh and no excuses. I understand your settlement though

For me.

Cullen - you can not start him, he doesn’t offer much in general play, too weak and doesn’t show enough for the ball. Has a great left foot outside of the box but only 1 in 8 ish chances go in.

Key- first time this season it looked like we had no gaping holes with our wing backs. Galbraith was tight to Thomas all game. Key comes on and gives him space, the least said about the rest of his dogshit performance the best.

Franco - was a bit anonymous today, when he’s good he’s brilliant. He’s still quite young I think and he needs to be rotated with yalcoue.

Tymon and Eom seem to have a good relationship which is creating chances and defence is solidifying.

Galbraith and Ronald seem to be doing the same under matos but I would much rather Innousa form that relationship as Galbraiths balls over the top and innousa could cause chaos. Not sure he has the engine though to play long and regular, although he’s not given the chance. (Maybe his stats show that to the coaches and that’s why he’s not playing as much.

Anyway, that’s my rambling done!

Feeling positive though as we are definitely improving step by step.

Spot on with Widell comment and it applies to most of the players, just when you think certain players look half tidy, they will do nothing the next game.

We have too many positions that need better consistent players, right back is biggest problem, the wingers are not good enough, midfield is still a big problem area for me apart from Galbraith the rest are meh!. The midfield are nowhere near technically good enough to play intricate passing. Before we made the changes today, we were starting to struggle to get out of our half again because there was no support centrally in midfield, this is my main concern for Matos is getting a functioning midfield that operates for 90 mins and not the 45mins looking ok to non-existent.

Overall a good performance but as usual we let ourselves down.
As others have mentioned Franco had a poor game
Cullen offers very little.
Key is totally shot. For whatever reason his early promise has not happened.
We have enough to get to a safe position but we do need some wheeling and dealing in January.
We gave it a go today and deserved a point.
One last comment 7 added minutes Tymon was having treatment for a couple of minutes but we still didn't get to 8

Things getting more spicy around us now. Still up to us obvs. 50 points. 9 wins.
