S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 0 Coventry 3 | Att: 17,732 | 21.03.26 | EFL Champ | Swansea.com

One of those games, ref gives a soft pen and we hit the woodwork a couple of times. Matos changed the midfield 3 to no effect. Agree with another poster start ward at rb and galbraith in midfield maybe it's different, maybe not, nevermind onwards we go

Couldn’t stand watching the second half of the game because I was too upset, but as for the first half, it’s all on Matos. Instead of using Ward as a RB with all his experience, he shifted Eg to play there and left the centre of the midfield exposed with Stamenic on the bench (again, for me, one of them must play in the midfield at any given time).

Who was supposed to hold up the midfield? To soak the pressure and give the right pass, Fultom? Franco? (For whom i still haven’t figured out what is his natural position).

Very disappointing.
Yes, I think this Galbraith at right back nonsense has to stop. He's far and away our best midfielder, that's where he needs to be.

So, that was at least 5 glorious chances missed, and 3 terrible goals conceded.

Hard to know whether to laugh or cry, be optimistic or pessimistic. At least you can drink in disappointment and encouragement.

So drink it is.

Some positivity - getting in wingers with higher goal/assist contributions and adding a ball playing CB will improve this team hugely, I genuinely think it’s the difference between midtable and playoffs (with 8 places next season).

10 game unbeaten home runs are about as good as it gets for mid table Championship sides, but it’s a shame it ended with that second half non event (both sides seemed pretty content to accept the 3-0 and move on).

Small margins in the 1st half. Tyson scores and it’s maybe a different game.

We’re a long way away from being a team challenge going for automatics, but I wouldn’t be panicking too much if top 8 is the aim next year.

Most people on here seem to agree what the squad/team need. I’d be amazed if Matos doesn’t agree, so it’s over to the recruitment team in the summer!

Be good to get at least one scalp at home before the end of the season mind!

To me, Cabango has a fuck up in every game. Definitely not a captain.
He is suffering a bit from a confidence issue, passing isn't his game, he plays it out and he can probably see he's f*cking up.. get back to the day job and keep him away from the ball.. but then you've got Burgess, he's equally rubbish on the ball.. I think they're suffering from us attempting to play tiki taka and they're losing concentration from their defending

Positives were Widdell who i think will get better, Galbraith although not great today always look to create something, we created some clear chances, It didn't rain and we don't live in Iran.

The not greats - questionable starting line up, piss poor CB's , slow backward passing even at 0-3 down, Ronald and to lesser extent Eom. Why start Fulton over Stemenic and why shoe horn EG to fullback if Ward can play there?

Beach football sadly for the players and paying public.

We just aren’t designed to attack.
Duff, Williams, Sheehan and I’m worried Matos is falling into this gang.
3-0 down and we had nothing.
We are so poor out wide, it’s gone beyond embarrassing.
Fair play to Coventry and Grimes, I don’t think they really got out of first gear.

I get a hollow, queasy feeling in my stomach every time I see Burgess coming out from the back with the ball at his feet. I'm just waiting for the f*ck up, and today he obliged.
He's dominant in the air, but I'm not sure that mistake he's got in him is worth it.

You can get away with them at League One, but teams are just cruising at us and scoring for fun.. they're on big bucks, it's not like they're novices
