Yep. Utterly shapeless and clueless last night and Bristol City wasn’t much better. These have been the first two games I’ve thought we could be in serious trouble. This squad has always struggled for goals but now we’ve lost our structure and the defensive organisation, which up until Sheehan started tinkering had been ok.That looked like a team lost and heading for relegation after the second goal.
The team selection was barking mad
Eom’s final product apart from one instant last night (the ball on the floor across the six yard box which four of them couldn't finish) is way too inconsistent. I’d give him a run on the right wing, maybe interchange him a few times a game with Widdell between AM and RW).We are in a relegation battle, with hindsight the players we've signed haven't really added anything apart Galbraith. We need patience with new boss because I really feel sorry him, I just hope we have enough jigsaw pieces for him to figure something out.
At the moment the full backs are a liability defensively and I am starting to have huge doubts with Cabango, really thought he had a poor game tonight. The passing needs to improve by a huge amount between the defenders.
I don't rate EOM, but I can't believe he is best of a bad bunch out wide. We have major problems out wide.
The jigsaw in midfield needs sorting, we are in a mess. Don't go blaming Matos, he has my sympathy, one hell of job to turn muck into gold.
What he said!I like how Matos talks and hope he can implement the things he says sooner rather than later.
I want to see more of Widdell and Yalcouye as they seem to have the energy for pressing, Galbraith behind them.
To bring some stability there is no need for the fullbacks to push up too high, this can come as they get fitter (they can whip in early crosses like Beckham used to do) let them focus on defending. Encourage the wingers to get to the byline and cut the ball back for the onrushing Vip, Widdell and Yalcouye (or whoever is playing in mifldfield).
