S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 Leicester City 3 | Att: 16,601 | Saturday 4th Oct | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

I may be wrong but I have not seen him included with the U21 team yet either. He is already 23 so is not a teenager who needs lots of time and it is now or never. If this carries on I think he may go back on loan in January.
A loan might be the best option if he doesn't kick on.

Poor team selection,Leicester are a decent side and Key was fucking atrocious.
Agree that Key needs dropping at the moment, one good pass to Ronald in the second half aside he was turned way too easily on multiple occasions and rather than complimenting Ronald in attack he seems to spend as much time stifling him by holding onto the ball too long or failing to offer himself for a give and go wall pass or overlap.

Either Galbraith needs to move to right back or we need to blood Parker at Championship standard more and let him grow.

Eom in for Inoussa was the right call. Sheehan mentioned in the week that Inoussa was top of the list of new players who were feeling the effect of championship physicality/intensity levels. The way he played when he came on made me glad he didn’t start…

If they are picking the team on form and rotating due to resting etc then Key needs to be pulled.

He was poor last weekend and agree he was atrocious today.

Needs a rest I think, like Ronald, starts almost every game and that can take its toll sometimes in the championship. Put Galbraith in against Southampton, think he’ll be better for it.

Tymon did no better against Fatawu. It happens. We know our players are mid-level for this league and they came up against better ones today. Key’s not been great and his partnership is not working with Ronald either, but we hadn’t got many options. Who would come in - Sam Parker’s our only other option isn’t he?

Huge reality check that.
Leicester just had that extra quality and despite us huffing and puffing, Leicester had that game under control.

Nice to see Idah get off the market, showed a little bit more today.
I don't know what it is but midfield to attack needs sorting.
Key needs a rest/dropping.

Today will be a good experience for everyone the team, management and fans.
We had almost zero midfield presence Daps

Anathema to us proper jacks inculcated on proper Midfield dominance, composure and control

Who are we, nowadays eh ?

I don’t think Key has been as bad as people are making out, but we certainly need competition there so we can try other things.

The right hand side is pretty rough, with no competition for Key* and Benson looking rough as hell so far..

*Galbraith of course, but that would weaken the midfield.

Has Benson ever played RB?

We know both full backs can be weak defensively but our only back up at RB is Parker plus we have Galbraith who can play there.

Yes, Galbraith looked more than a good enough backup when he briefly played there. I thought we needed his energy in the middle from the start today. It wasn’t a Cullen game for me.
