Taking the energy of Yalcouye off and replacing it with Cullen was an idiotic thing to do. Even worse taking of Inoussa who was looking like he had the better of his man working well with Yalcouye sealed our fate. After his goal I’d have subbed Ronald on 75 minutes but it seems he’s the new Grimes
Yalcouye was bringing what we so desperately need…. Drive!
When Vipotnik got the ball in the box, you knew he was going to score… class!
Inoussa was looking dangerous and making their full back think twice about crossing the halfway line.
We had gears to go up in my opinion.
It all went to shit when they were taken off and Ronald constantly passing backwards made it look even worse.

I don't dislike Sheehan, i would just rather we played like we did against Plymouth at home last season, where we didn't worry about the opposition , played fast flowing attacking football and created chances. Unfortunately those type of games under him have been very few indeed, and furthermore he may have the best record since Martinez, but his football is certainly not attracting fans back to the stadium.

I will hold my hands up and say I was very grumpy in the immediate aftermath of the game, so apologies for the bitchy tone of my post to you.

I can see your point about the style of football and hopefully it's something that will come as the players gel, given there were a lot of changes in the squad over the summer. We see glimpses, but that's all it's been so far.

I was very hard on Cooper because of how boring his football was to watch (Sheehan's football so far is way better to watch than Cooper's), but I'm probably a little more pragmatic now after the utter dross served up by his successors.

Yalcouye and Inoussa were slowing down.

I think looking back, we should have matched Hull shape and brought Casey on for Inoussa and gone with a 3 man defence, Key and Tymon wing backs. Ronald and Cullen playing ahead of Franco and Galbraith, Idah up top.

Give this team another month together and they’ll properly cook, as the youngsters say.

Wasn’t expecting much today after most of them have been away on international duty, coupled with they still haven’t had much time together.
Stamenic playing makes a difference. I think if he was in there today would have helped.

No need to apologise, didn't think you were grumpy at all. Hope you have an enjoyable evening.

My top 3 points of today's game
1) Our play is far too slow for home matches, I wish we would go for the kill from the first minute instead of sparring with the opposition with nothing happening.
2) Send EOM a one way ticket home(one of the worst attacking footballers I have seen at the club at this level).
3) We are lacking that creative playmaker type midfielder.

We have played two poor Sheffield teams and the other three games I personally think we have been poor ourselves. Still have doubts on Sheehan pulling the strings.

I was fed up at the end because I just thought we handed them an invitation to take the game at 2-1 when we should have looked to sew it up. And they took it, as our luck didn’t hold. As long as we are not doing that as a common tactic, it’s promising. I agree with NJ. The team will improve from here. I thought Yalcouye showed real glimpses of the attacking talent we need. Those turns and runs at players in the centre terrify defences. Also as Daps said, Stamenic will help us boss games. Just need more intent to score goals and keep on the gas when a goal ahead.

My take on the game - nowhere enough urgency in the first half , play was slow and methodical. Playing inoussa in front of tymon takes away tymons attacking ability. Perhaps allowing inoussa a free role would improve our creativity.
I hoped he would replace inoussa with idah, but it was eom. At least that allowed tymon a more effective last 20 mins.
Cullen and eom should not be anywhere near this squad - they’re simply not good enough.
Everyone can see it except Sheehan.
We even had Cullen having the cheek to argue with burgess. Cullen gave the ball away and tried to blame burgess.
This was for me a poor day and Sheehan has to take a bit of the responsibility for that.

I can honestly say thats the most disappointed I've been coming away from a game for a long time. I definitely agree with those who said we got what we deserved. I personally thought the game was there for us to take had we applied ourselves a bit differently after Ronald's goal.

It's also always annoying to concede at the times we did today.

That being said, the standard of our players has been lifted dramatically this season and as someone else said, that's elevated certain others. Vigaroux and Cabango were outstanding today and Ronald is adding a lot of final product to his game it seems. Vip is looking really dangerous upfront too.

On the flip side, Cullen looked dreadful coming on and the difference between Eom and Inoussa was noticeable.
