• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Will be interesting to see the team today as Matos has had a full week with the squad.

The big questions for me are

Can he get a longer performance out of the team, start like WBA and keep it going?
Can he find a solution at RB, Key clearly not good enough yet no manager seems to replace him (are we so devoid of RB's)?
Can he (will he try) get a tune out of Benson?
Will we see a formation change?

Regarding the formation change Leeds have recently gone 3-5-2 and it's made a huge difference, the biggest being that no longer is the CF isolated meaning they have someone close and able to secure the knockdowns from Calvert-Lewin and with the wing-backs pushing high and the AM getting forward they are able to press more effectively.

Could this work for Swansea?

Maybe is my thought, but it has to be 3-5-2 not 5-3-2

It could help Key !!
Tymon (or Samuels-Smith) are capable of the LWB role
I would have Stamenic shielding the back 3 and Galbraith being the most forward midfielder getting around the box to play off the strikers and I would like to see yalcouye and his energy in midfield, then best of all we would have two strikers and a chance to get minutes into Idah (not that I think he's good enough but he should be better in a front 2) alongside Viptonik.

The prob i find with 2 up front esp if one of the is Vip is instead of smashing it into the net he'd be caught in 2 minds about laying it off to Idah who would then almost certainly fluff his lines and put it in row z.

Worth noting that tickets for this game have gone on Tickets for Good. If you work for NHS or a charity, it's a platform for free/reduced tickets; £3 a pop for Saturday and the same for Portsmouth midweek.
what about if your married to someone who works for the NHS

Norwich winning. We're standing on a trap door and it's feeling a bit wobbly...

Show some bollox time today, let’s get back to holding onto the ball and being patient instead of this high press high energy crap which results in us being totally shapeless and constantly vulnerable on the counter.
But the high press is how VM is trying to get us to play I for one am getting sick of this slow build up play that always results in it being back in our box at the feet of an attacker 5x quicker than it took us to get it into their final 1/3rd.

Derby having their arse handed to them at the minute by Leicester, who've just had a perfectly good third goal disallowed by a cross eyed lino. High time VAR came to the Championship.

Aye and it’s been a real success hasn’t it, have a look at the number of goals we’ve conceded on the transition, wanting a team to play a certain way and having the players capable of it are two different things, I’d love us to play like Real Madrid but that’s not going to happen either.
