S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Wrexham FC 2 Swansea City 0 | Att: 10,641 (1,283 Jacks) | 13.03.26 | The EFL Championship | The STōK Cae Ras

Fair point, although I’d rather be in a position where we’ve got players who are worth a significant fee as opposed to worrying about how to offload players with no value.

Take it as a positive that we’re weighing up whether £15m is worth cashing in and reinvesting elsewhere.
I'd rather we kept our best players and added extra quality to the squad to compliment what we already have.

He deemed him ready to literally start a game 2 weeks ago???

Using your logic the longer he is here the more ready he will be to play? So if that is the case why has only played him for 25mins in the 4 games since PNE compared to the 55 minutes in the 3 before that?
That is true the longer he is here the more ready he will be to play, however right now others are more ready than he is.

He has just completed his last season on November and is effectively going through a pre-season (with a group that isn't doing a pre-season).

Also it is possible for the manager to try something and for it not to work and require more time on the training pitch.

Using your logic Matos must have lost faith in Josh Key because he didnt play for a number of games, but that faith seems to have now been restored.

He clearly did lose faith in Key didn't he? I don't really think that is up for debate.

Just look at the lack of minutes he was playing after the first Stoke game where he had a horrid time as a substitute. He even started Ward in a game over him at one point.

He hasn't lost faith in Josh Key, he recognized the lad was going through a difficult period with his form and took him out of the firing line.

Can you imagine the hate the lad would have received from the likes of yourself if Matos hadn't done it.

Exactly, not rocket science is it !!

Honestly have no idea why anyone would want to sell our top goal scorer.

We need a squad of players to be competitive next season.

“have no idea why anyone would want to sell our top goal scorer.”

Because

“We need a squad of players to be competitive next season.”

We can be competitive without having to sell our best players.
I think we will have to sell to invest. And I also think that’s a huge plank of their strategy for the club going forward.

Increase commercial income.

Make significant profits from player trading.

That’s the plan. And why we’ve bought the players we have.

No money has gone into the club since 2024 when they first got involved. And to be honest, any money going in won’t move the PSR dial anyway (unless it’s for the stadium, which I’d prefer didn’t happen).

This summer will see at least one major departure. And Vipotnik is one of the two most obvious.

I think we will have to get used to it. Sadly.

Plus I’m not convinced that this season won’t be the high point of value for him anyway. He’s done extremely well and has scored some wonderful goals, but his game is not the most flexible under the system matos seems to want to play.

If we sell him and bring in some creativity it will probably suit us better going forward.

Talking of bullies, are you still using parent and children car parking spaces and shaking you fists at any young Mums with their kids?

In all seriousness, I think it would be a good idea if you said sorry to Jaxxs, don't wan't him giving you a wedgie on the first day of the party at yours.
Cut him some slack Smurph, he's getting on a bit, we must make allowances.
