I notice that I haven't seen the Fisher goal kick routine with Benda playing

His distribution has been pretty good. One overhit but otherwise…

Agreed, Benda has been very reassuring and done everything needed with no ants in pants moments.

Even if he has a mistake in him Benda is a better goalkeeper than Fisher by a long way.

Sorinola's running is fantastic but his final ball is one of the worst I've seen.

Grimes and Sorinola off then pray Wood and Cabango don't have another brain fart between them.

Fun half to watch. Not sure whether we provide our standard capitulation in the second half but this game and Stoke shows this is a better shape and style for the squad we have.

Have no issue with the occasional chip out from the back and into space either. There has been zero pressure because of it, actual pressure, self inflicted pressure nor losing momentum.

Nice so far.

Half time thoughts:

Cabango very lucky to be on the pitch with only 60 seconds on the clock, if the Championship had VAR I think he would have been gone.

Cooper has again been exceptional, I can only see him getting better and better as the season goes on.

Piroe's penalty wasn't a poor one, keeper just guessed the right way. Made amends just minutes later though with the goal.

Sorinola's movement has been great, plenty of threat even if his final delivery hasn't quite been there.

Benda had a great first half, a great save and good distribution and no mucking about when could have been under the cosh. More of the same please.

Paterson has been extremely quiet, would not be surprised at all to see Oko-flex replace him after 60 minutes considering how high a line QPR are playing. He is meant to be rapid.

We’ve not been outstanding by any means, but how much of a better performance is this than previous games? No stupid short goal kicks, minimal fannying about at the back and moving the ball quicker in the final third. Hopefully a better second half and a much needed home win.

The first goal was all down to how alive Cooper was to the loose ball.
Great composure too to roll it in for Piroe to have an easy finish when could easily have snatched at a shot himself.

How Cabango missed that chance from the corner I don't know

Yes but our possession stats are shit. 😉

I wish Benda would sweep up a little more. Seems reluctant to come off his line. The chance that fell to Chair - I thought he could have come out for that.

Apart from that, Cabango's a very lucky boy, Grimes has been poor, Paterson anonymous. Not a bad performance otherwise.
