Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Cardiff City 3 Swansea City 0 | The EFL Championship

Of course he needs to take part of the blame but there is certainly a far bigger picture here if we want to discuss the elephant in the room.

Terrible performance, we didn't seem to have the passion even leading up to it and we're for ed to play 2 centre halves who are not fully fit.

Things are not right at the club, I wouldn't go as far as to say it's broken whilst sitting 13th in the league.
The whole place needs a boost from management to fans and getting the required players in is the way to do that.

Hopefully this result gives Williams and others the kick up the rear.....hopefully more so the board to get the players in that we do desperately need.

I am not happy as I type this but trying to keep a clear mind at the same time.

There are going to be a lot of angry people and posts today....I get that.
If conceding nine goals in against three teams battling to stay in the league isn't broken then I don't know what needs to break. 😂

They didn't even turn up, I'm not sure what the gameplan was?

Grind out a draw? Come on mate, that was turgid and if people aren't getting screamed at right at this very second I'd be concerned.
I totally agree, we didn't turn up.
I really hope that people are being screamed at behind closed doors.....it's needed for sure.

I will try to keep as level headed as I can(rightly or wrongly) but situations like these don't need complete meltdowns in public.

It's a crappy league and we have been bang average with an average squad that has little numbers.

It wasn't great today. Williams has let himself down, players have let themselves down........if we were in a dogfight at the bottom of the league then I would be calling for a new manager but we need players to freshen up a thin and tired first team squad.

Let's face it, are we honestly surprised? Good luck to them, well deserved win, but never again be said that the Brizzles is their derby. Like watching em win the Champions LG FFS.
But this has been coming since Xmas. He really needs to go now, Duff couldn't motivate em...neither can he. Off you pop thers a good lad.

It's not great but let's look at the bigger picture rather than 3 games.

We need to stand back and realise we are an average team and sit 13th.

Duff is on a 16 match unbeaten run, he had success prior to us but yet he struggled here and then moved on and is back to winning ways.

I think this speaks volumes.

Doesn't matter where anyone stands. The manager is completely out of his depth and has been in the twelve or so months he has been here.

Any manager out of his depth wouldn't have an average squad sitting smack in the middle of the league.

I must stress though, it's not an excuse for today but just highlighting the clarity of the whole picture.

I'm feeling better now.

I turned over with 20 minutes to go and watched the second half at Metz. They are my French mate's team and I've adopted them as my second team. They just beat top of the table Paris FC 3-1 at home.
How bloody refreshing it is to see a football team dedicated to attacking, moving the ball forward quickly, scoring goals and winning possession with hard tackles when they need to win the ball back. Allez Metz! (And feck off Williams).

The fella is underachieving.
