Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Norwich 5 Swansea 1 | The EFL Championship

I still can’t want them not to lose.
I really thought they were done for this season, especiallly given riza the job. They had a bit of a luck a game or so before ours to give them a lift and they haven't looked back now. Shame

They aren't even inverted, they're playing as fucking centre midfielders!

Then we have grimes playing in the wing

Can someone honestly explain that to me?
I can explain this. It's the tactic of do what you want, and give ball away and don't defend 😭😭

Have to say golden boy Franco was worse than useless today.
Worth about 50p on that showing 👌
I agree. But I might be reading into it but he pretty much blanked Williams when he came off and other coaches looked through Williams at end of game. Franco has alot of work and defo one that stands out. But all the team down tools. Can we talk about Cullen? Proberly the most invested player in the Swans emotionally, yet his performances has dropped off. Yes he scored, but he has given the ball away alot recently. He is a swan at heart and that tells me alot. He must be feeling the same as we do. He just looked dejected he was subbed and sat on the side.

We're also a 1 half team and that was our half, so don't expect any miracles. Just damage limitation the 2nd half. It's seriously difficult to have anything other than a negative outlook these days
That was uncannily accurate (apart from the damage limitation bit).

Carrow Road used to be one of my favourite places to go because (a) we usually won and (b) the home support were quite classy - magnanimous in victory and respectful in defeat. Neither is true any more.

The 300 Spartans Swans were unusually quiet but in good spirits despite what we all knew was coming. Having said that I left after the fifth goal went in so I don’t know whether LW came over to applaud the away end and if so what reaction he got…

He very much is the main problem.

Key in CM, Tymon trying to get into CM (but he’s too slow), Grimes at sweeper, a ten on the wing, a winger up top, Abdulai played wide, insistence in the safe pass, I could go on. This is all because of Williams.

That’s not to say that we don’t have issues elsewhere, but our on field performance is first and foremost driven by tactics and formation.
Abdulai started on the wing for Leyton Orient today.
Was Williams managing them too?
