Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 WBA 1 | The EFL Championship

We've belted enough teams without getting something so about time the reverse happened to us

West Brom pundits: ‘killer pass by their playmaker Matt Grimes’

Meanwhile, Williams salivating over Matty again, as I type…

Got away with one but clear issues with the squad that needs freshening up and strengthening.

Things tend to ho flat this time of year when you have a thin squad and for us most noticeably with us in attacking areas.

Too many players had poor games today......poor touches, control and passing.

Something isn't right. Perplexing tactics and every single player, other than Darling, not at the races.

On the balance of 90 mins, a draw was about right, because both teams were crap for the vast majority of the match.

Ooof. We needed that.

We were toothless for most of the game, and they were much sharper and more purposeful with the ball than us (same old story).

We look about 4-5 good signings worse than them overall, and our tactical approach is not helping us either.

There are a lot of things you can comment on, but one is:

There are countless times when we reach the final third out wide and there are clear opportunities to give and go between a full-back and wide player and we don't do it. Happens so often. Our old friend Mr Triangle is screaming for involvement and we just cycle the ball backwards instead of trying it. I have to assume this is instruction as it happens so often (almost every single time). It really grinds my gears.

Dreadful game. Grimes was shit, and so was just about every other Swans player. No tactics, no shape, no idea. Gash.

But a point, so move on.

Can I make a potentially hot take?

I don't think Vigoroux is that good. He's a solid keeper at this level, but considering his start and the regard he's held in, he's massively flattered to deceive

Grimes is killing us, just by being on the pitch, even in his good games.

He’s alright as a keeper. He needs 20 times fewer touches of the ball though.

He's pulled off some wonderful saves this season, to save us points - but many of the goals he concedes are poor, and costs us points.
