Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City 1 WBA 1 | The EFL Championship

Can I make a potentially hot take?

I don't think Vigoroux is that good. He's a solid keeper at this level, but considering his start and the regard he's held in, he's massively flattered to deceive
His distribution seems to have worsened in recent weeks but as a pure GK, he remains excellent. He keeps the ball out of the net much more than he doesn't.

When you consider we have players who can't do the basics for their position elsewhere in the team - Tymon is the best example, he can do one - then I'm very grateful we can at least rely on him to do the job he's paid to do.

Made 2 good saves but got beat too easily at his near post.

Him and Rushworth are on a par but both look better because of how poor Fisher was/is.

The fact he wan't just keep that 37 year old fella on until the end of the season shows how little faith he has in Fisher

Vigs is like Gianluigi Buffon compared to some of the dross we’ve had in goal over the last handful of years!

Not quite Groundhog Day as we snatched a draw from the jaws of a 1-0 defeat, but by ‘eck was most of that inevitable.

The inevitable positioning of Grimes as our deepest man. The inevitable hole filled by Key. The inevitable weakening of our midfield as one half of the CM pair is missing from parts of the game. The inevitable goal coming from the opposition waltz up the pitch and exploiting a hole where our full back should have been. All of this is tactical.

Darling is the MoM by a country mile. If (when) he leaves we won’t be able to get anywhere near an equivalent replacement.

WBA could have been a couple up by half time, so more than happy to take a point.

Rushworth is leagues ahead imo, a genuinely top prospect. Vig's saves today were completely ordinary, would've been criminal if anything else went in, nevermind the error for the goal.

He's excellent at claiming crosses and corners, he's fine at everything else. I agree that he's a start, considering the flaws in this side. I rated Tymon a lot last season, but he's a liability now

Not a good week. Big help that equaliser of course

Out fought at Portsmouth and not much better today.

Still, two points better off than last season

West Brom have better players, and a better manager, even though they don’t have one.

I know stuck record. Tough titty. He’s gash.

Can we stop blaming Vigoroux for the goal.

The boy shot from pretty much the edge of the 6 yard box, it was well struck, low down, and it went through our defenders legs. If you'd played GK you'd know that 99 times of a 100 the ball is going past you in those circumstances.

If you want to blame anyone, blame the dickhead who vacated the left hand side and left their player unmarked. You won't get any prizes for guessing who it was

I think the vacation of any central midfield to stop the run has to be blamed too.

He is gash, correct

He's no longer the Poundland Pep, he's now the OneBelow Pep.

I’m not going to apportion full blame onto Tymon for their goal. They broke four on four and Tymon tracked the runner whereas the ball went to the free man. We had enough numbers there to cover it but the defensive unit as a whole didn’t operate.
