• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Worst atmosphere for a long time. Flat as a pancake - not that there was anything to cheer about. We we so slow, no urgency or energy (except for Franco) and loads more mis-controls than normal.

I was bored and cold 🤣
The commentators (WBA) on my stream kept going on about the state of the pitch, and how it is cut up more than most grounds due to rugby being played on it. Any relevance to the mis-controls?

They were watering it at half time and there were big puddles forming all over the pitch.

Managed to pilfer a point in the end. Key looked like he'd been smoking something all game. Grimes' passing was atrocious, nullifying the only reason he is on the pitch every game. Tymon, Ronald, and Cullen were useless. I could probably go on. Bland, uninspiring football with little or no quality; then up pops Joey to blag us a richly undeserved point.

This season cannot end quickly enough for me.

I’m not going to apportion full blame onto Tymon for their goal. They broke four on four and Tymon tracked the runner whereas the ball went to the free man. We had enough numbers there to cover it but the defensive unit as a whole didn’t operate.
I too think it's a bit harsh to blame Tymon for their goal. The reason they scored was that we gave the ball away in midfield. Again. We tried it in the first half a few times - the usual suspects, Grimes and Key. This time it was a mix up between Cullen and someone else (I think). Cullen is another one who needs to get out of midfield if he can't hold onto the ball. He was at fault for one of Pompey's goal as well.

Lucky to get the point in the end after a shocking game, I could have easily fallen asleep if I closed my eyes, again the team looked effortless and lifeless, boring boring watch.

We’ve needed pace and flair for a few seasons now.
Darling has probably covered the most ground with the ball.
Did we sign Bianchini as a winger?
He’s certainly fast enough.
