Sheehan Out? Calm Down!

I didn't "probably know" anything. From where I was standing, it looked like you were hammering anyone who can't get their arse down the stadium or the club shop. But appreciate you for clarifying.

Fwiw I agree with you about the social media clowns - but then for that reason I tend to stay away from that world. I find most fans in real life are generally sound.

Apology accepted. 😉

If adaptable means we play like yesterday, I will take philosophy every time. Birmingham have philosophy under Chris Davies and I'm pretty jealous he's not our club.
I watched Birmingham on the weekend- and I am over the moon that we don't have Davies here.
Truly horrible team that had zero interest in playing football.
Also he has the air about him of someone who could walk down lovers lane on his own!

66.9% possession last year, they will be above us this year.

Above us on possession stats or above us in the league?

I don't care about the former and the latter should be a given when you consider what they have spent/have to spend.

Hate to say it, but I'm going to pinch that line. Hilarious! A good friend of mine says he's pinching one of my lines (not originally mine, pinched years ago). About a spiteful, aggressive woman that we both know, I said "She'd have an argument with a mirror!" 😂

It is a reasonable and sensible view.

The same people slagging off the old owners (rightly so) expect all the incompetence to be undone in one transfer window. Which is wholly unrealistic. Especially given the turnover of players in our squad.
Nobody's saying one transfer window, but "multiple Summer windows", sounds like 3-5 years. I would expect to see an improvement (not promotion) this season, followed by a team ready to "go for it" this time next year. That's a multiple of two Summer and one Winter window. If we're in the same situation then, we need to look at ourselves.

They haven't spend that much.
They bought a £15m striker last season, along with a host of other players who wouldn't have been cheap. They're paying high enough fees and wages to get the likes of Kyogo (who cost Rennes around £10m in January), Demarai Gray, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Marvin Ducksch, a striker with German international caps.

They're spending money at a level rarely seen in this division outside of clubs with parachute payments. If that's not spending much, please point out who is spending a lot at this level. Us finishing above them this season would mean we're punching well above our weight.

I really didn't think yesterday was that bad that we should be talking about Sheehan's future. Yes, as an attacking force we looked crap, but it's game 1, new players are still bedding in and we know that Vipotnik and Cullen aren't up to it, that's why the club is trying to sign a decent striker.

I don't like us losing, ever. But losing as we did yesterday I can grudgingly accept. What I can't accept is games like Pompey, Cardiff, Norwich and Coventry last season under Williams where it was just utter nonsense, schoolboy football, total lack of professionalism. We've never seen that under Sheehan.

Let's lay off the guy and give him a chance. He kept us up last season and he did it brilliantly. He has earned a fair crack at it.
You’re right of course but what got me was his line up - it was negative to say the least. Why not chick Widdell and Inoussa on from the off? Tell them “we’ve got a shit record against these see if you can make a bit of history for yourselves”.
And not starting with Vipotnik favouring Cullen would have not helped Vipotnik’s confidence.
