• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

As happened to me this evening, When you're at an ordinary pub with 50 people in it and you are definitely the oldest there. And when did Thursday after work become as busy as Friday after work?

When someone asked if the Beach Boys were Classical Music (admittedly, he's not the brightest).

Any others that you have from your own experiences?

Just read this "When someone asked if the Beach Boys were Classical Music (admittedly, he's not the brightest)" and it instantly reminded me of this Classic

Brilliant😂

Buying garden waste bins off the council. Years ago you'd have just put garden waste in black bags.

When you think that the Stereophonics are boring and you switch over to Casualty having asked your daughter to text you when Tom Jones is on.

Any other regulars on here the wrong side of 70 like me?

75 in a few months, just crazy how quick the time has gone.

Fair play Rog, you look younger than that and younger than Darran, I'm a mere toddler than you both at 61,1/2

Thanks guys, I was feeling really old this week when one of my team had no idea who Monty Python were, but you're all making me feel young again at the tender age of 41! ;)

Good on you Robbie, I still feel in decent nick too. I still play football every Friday evening and I walked up a mountain in France in February and a snow covered extinct volcano in Iceland in March before turning 70 in April. Not giving up just yet
