Six Nations 2025 Thread 🏉

A stupid overcomplicated sport that, in this country, is still dining out on a very short period in the 1970s where they were actually any good.

Just read they're 12th behind Georgia in the rankings now. With any luck it'll be dead in 20 years time hopefully, and then the football team can have an uninterrupted pick of the elite athletes coming through 🤞🏻
That’s complete bollocks.

Go and have a read about our rise to number one in the world rankings. I think New Zealand had been at number one for something like 500 weeks, we had won 15 tests of 16, and had to beat England to take the coveted spot of #1. We delivered on the pitch that day. Not bad for a nation of three million souls.

It’s only incompetence at the top which has led us to where we are now. A familiar story, eh?

What bit is complete bollocks?

Silly post.

The parts where you:
- called it over complicated
- said Wales dined out on the 70’s
- referred to Wales as “they’re”

Your last sentence made you sound like La Jolla.
It is overcomplicated, Welsh rugby does dine out on the 70s, and I used "they're" because I have absolutely no affiliation with it whatsoever other than to look on from a distance and laugh at how bad they are.

Before you say anything, yes I recognise that outside of the 70s, they have been occasionally moderately successful in the last two decades in an annual invitational tournament that they don't even have to qualify for, and can't be relegated from. I acknowledge this bit.

Number one in the world. Argue as much as you want about the relevance, but it’s a ranking scheme which has been in place for considerable time.

But when you say “they’re” it reeks of someone who doesn’t follow the sport, and that’s fair enough. I’ve had as many good days following Welsh rugby as I have with Welsh football.
