Nope. My birthday is in October so I don't even pretend that I'm going to do it.

Starting tomorrow...anyone else?

I'll probably end up doing it my default. I don't tend to drink in the house and given the state of the world right now, finding myself out and about having a pint isn't top of my agenda  Also been back calorie counting the last few weeks to shift the lockdown induced pounds

So you’ll be slender by November because drinking isn’t top of your agenda and you won’t be going on a bender?

I’m giving up drinking for a month.
Sorry , that came out wrong.
I’m giving up. Drinking for a month!

Punctuation eh...

And never forget that grammar is equally important

Been off the booze since the new Year, I had put a fair bit of weight on during November and December due to holidays and Christmas and was heavier than I had been for a while. I decided to get off the booze and used My Fitness Pal App to lose that weight, I was looking to lose nearly 2 stone to get back where I normally am.

However, due to lockdown I just kept off the booze and trained a fair bit more than I normally did, the weight came off fairly quickly, I was also not eating the constant supply of cakes and biscuits in work.

I have lost almost 4 stone and feel fitter than I have done for a long time. I can’t say I would go teetotal, but I can’t say I have thought I need a beer right now either.

To be honest booze hasn’t held the attraction for me it used to, and getting up to use the toilet during the night with a load of beer in me results in a crap nights sleep anyway. Drinks at home or the pub with friends is ok but that doesn’t look likely until after Whitsun and I can’t be arsed just having a beer for the sake of it.

As bad as vegans / vegetarians telling you that they are vegans / vegetarians.

Nobody cares about you brave soldiers giving up alcohol for a month.

Won’t happen. My Saturday swig is the highlight of my week. Beers, takeaway and a film with the wife, followed by some Spotify surfing till the early hours when she’s gone to bed. I fucking love Saturdays. I’m a simple man with simple pleasures.
