Spitfire experience flights are coming to Swansea
The legendary fighter plane is due to make the first of several visits soon
that's the thing, chance of a lifetime. I am considering if I can let that amount of money disappear from my life to say I flew a Spitfire. People love telling me they have been on concordeBefore I read the article I had a figure in my head of around 300 quid for a flight, (I know).
But I think I'll swerve it at 3K a pop. Chance of a lifetime mind, what a machine.
As an aside have you been to Filton near Bristol, the air museum houses a Concorde, been there a few times, it's well worth an afternoon trip.that's the thing, chance of a lifetime. Thanks for reminding me about that one. My colleague who covers Filton mentioned that.As an aside have you been to Filton near Bristol, the air museum houses a Concorde, been there a few times, it's well worth an afternoon trip.![]()
Highly recommend, it's like meeting a film star. What a machine. Thanks for reminding me about that one. My colleague who covers Filton mentioned that.
Your stomach contents.I’ve never heard of a Victory Roll. What’s the filling?
Fleet Air Arm Museum. There's also one at Manchester Airport along with a few other planes including a Nimrod at the observation area. One in New York (and the Enterprise prototype space shuttle) at the Intrepid museum.Years ago visited a Aircraft Museum around the Yeovil area if I can remember and they had a replica of the orginal Concorde design .
Chance to walk through the mock up but what struck me was how cramped it was for the passengers who would have flown on it , very limited centre aisle room and flyers sat like sardine .
Good experince to have a chance to see an iconic model .
A great display on the Intrepid aircraft carrier well worth a visit if you’re in New York.Fleet Air Arm Museum. I personally like Cosford (near Telford) which has all three 'V' bombers and the TSR2
