Spitfire Experience Flights Are Coming To Swansea ...

Before I read the article I had a figure in my head of around 300 quid for a flight, (I know).
But I think I'll swerve it at 3K a pop. Chance of a lifetime mind, what a machine.

that's the thing, chance of a lifetime. I am considering if I can let that amount of money disappear from my life to say I flew a Spitfire. People love telling me they have been on concorde

As an aside have you been to Filton near Bristol, the air museum houses a Concorde, been there a few times, it's well worth an afternoon trip.👍

Thanks for reminding me about that one. My colleague who covers Filton mentioned that.

Years ago visited a Aircraft Museum around the Yeovil area if I can remember and they had a replica of the orginal Concorde design .

Chance to walk through the mock up but what struck me was how cramped it was for the passengers who would have flown on it , very limited centre aisle room and flyers sat like sardine .

Good experince to have a chance to see an iconic model .

Fleet Air Arm Museum. There's also one at Manchester Airport along with a few other planes including a Nimrod at the observation area. One in New York (and the Enterprise prototype space shuttle) at the Intrepid museum.
I personally like Cosford (near Telford) which has all three 'V' bombers and the TSR2

I went to Fleet Air Arm Museum a long time ago, I thought that was an original Concorde that had all the test equipment in for the early pre passenger flights. I agree about the narrow body, not as comfortable as I expected.

A great display on the Intrepid aircraft carrier well worth a visit if you’re in New York.
