My point is, that he felt sorry for that pensioner he met back then, but now in power he couldn't give a fuk hence the plan to tax pensioners etc and you got some clown in the lords saying that labour should make pensioners pay National Insurance after most had worked all their lives and paid more than enough into the coffers, its fine for him to mouth off cause it won't affect him, selfish cunts the lot of them with their "I'm alright jack" and fuck the rest of you attitude!

Why do the Government state that if you have paid in for 35yrs and paid in full stamp over that time, yet they still take NI off you? there should be a set figure regardless of what you earn for NI, they take more tax off you as it is, but no they increase the NI contributions as well.

It's not Starmer's fault that he comes from a privileged and weathy life ( I say 'good on him"). He took his Knighthood (good on him) when some socialists have refused on principle.

My take on Max'svideo post is that Starmer pretends to be a "man of the people / working man" when he clearly isn't. Just listen to him again - he refers to poor people as people he met elsewhere. They are third person tense. He's not living amongst them. He's obviously never put something back on the shelf of his Waitrose after seeing the price.

I really like him. He's sorted out the thick, yobbo, idiotic right wing thugs this week. And he's a socialist leading a knighted capitalist life. Shows you can have everything you want.

I don't care what he earns or what he's earnt and he didn't come from a privileged background as far as I'm aware, his parents weren't wealthy, he's done very well to have achieved what he has from humble beginnings.

But to single out pensioners to pay for the cost of the trillions of billions the Tories wasted is despicable, whose next the Disabled? Vat or Income tax rises are in the pipeline as well I bet.

They should be going after the friends of the Torys who they give millions and millions of pounds in "contracts" to etc

Where I will agree with you is that this new Labour government is not radical enough for my liking. They could do a lot more, for example get a true progressive tax system in place to tax those with the broadest shoulders the most and punish tax dodging c*nts. Reform corporation tax and make sure the likes of Amazon pay their fare share.
Abolish the house of Lords, bring in PR, start negotiations with the EU about reversing Brexit, nationalise the railways and water companies, invest heavily in public services i.e. the NHS, the social care system, new council houses, schools, the prison system, police force, armed forces. Get the national energy company up and running.
And that's just for starters.

Funnily enough I’m not mad on a Chardonnay but love a Chablis with my scampi and chips. I’m away from home so I’ve spent far too much time on here the last couple of weeks.
