We did exactly what Brentford did with Morgan when we signed the likes of Dan James and McBurnie. Lucky for us they had the same attitude as Morgan as they played some very good games for us and earned us a lot of money. Seems a bit hypocritical to complain when we're on the receiving end.

But we bought Whittaker from Derby for (from memory a substantial sum) he spent no time in our academy and was largely ignored and unwanted by any manager that we had during his spell here. Not sure what went wrong there. Maybe more that he was unable to settle or had personality issues? Who knows?

However a player who spent a number of years in our academy, benefitted from our coaching team, physio team, medical team and was potentially on the verge of being included in the first team set up…. You’d kind of hope for a little more loyalty. Good luck to the kid and I hope he develops to be a future Wales international but I would imagine the Club would feel a bit let down by his decision after the investment they put into him. It happens. Shame. Move on.

Unfortunately for us a Premier league side came in for the lad, anything can happen in a blink of an eye to finish a professional footballers career so as soon as Brentford came knocking he was off.
As the saying goes, "if you expect loyalty, get yourself a dog"...

Been reported that Brighton's 1st choice keeper - the Dutch guy who played at the Euro's is injured and will miss the first 6 weeks of the season.

You'd imagine that puts the breaks on Rushworth going out on loan again.

Still a profit of some measure, the real bonus cash if it happens this summer is the Whittaker money.
