Summer Transfer Window

Best of luck to him.
Not everyone who gets released after their first pro contract comes to an end manages to get a foothold elsewhere at another club.
I would think that during the club's Premier League period the success rate in ex-academy players moving on to pro contracts was significantly higher than in the post PL period, especially in the last two seasons where there were far less ex-academy kids being signed by the Swans from other clubs. That was reflected in U18 and 21 matches where there were quite a number from the U15/16's backfilling the U18's and the same for the U21's.

I’d there’s Saudi interest in Ronald, then ramp up that price accordingly. They’ve been paying silly money for players, so why not for Ronald? 10 million and he’s yours, Sheikh.

Hull pushing for McBurnie/O Brien according to their local papers.

No worries on McBurnie but I'd be pissed off if they got O'Brien. I'd understand if he went to one of the 3 relegated clubs or to moneybags Birmingham, but would be miffed if he went to any other Championship club instead of us (unless we are not willing to match that club's offer to Forest of course).

Honestly, OB was fresh air when he came in but dropped off. MB, I would rather look elsewhere. Not that bothered if we don't get them. But if we do then good.

Ultimately it's the money and his partner say. From reports. OB brings alot to the team but as mentioned he dipped off alot and would rather spend money else where.

Hull are cash rich, can see them being able to do a deal for O’Brien easier than us. PSR permitting obviously. Hope he doesn’t go to champ side outside the top ones if it isn’t us though.

Would take transfer markt with a pinch of salt, it's been discussed previously on here after we signed Mykolo.

If you look, it has us down as signing Inoussa for 6M euros, we know that could be the total if he stays the length of his contract and ticks every add on.

Price for Ronald, I would be looking at around 5M minimum.
on Innoussa. Could be accurate. Hull had a bid of 5.9m Euros accepted right at the death of last summer's transfer window. Innoussa now has a further season at that level so I dont see why Hacken would drop that price.
Yes your right includes all the add ons which we may or may not have to pay

Hope there's not too much delay before more signings given the OK
Core of the starting eleven is in place apart from Grimes/OB replacement and a main striker
But we need 2 more defenders and 2 more MF to round out the squad
Plus we need to sell off Yates and get a number of others out on loan or sold Cooper Congreve Cotterill etc
Lots to do yet

O'Brien would be the wow signing for me. I've heard it said that he dropped off towards the end of the season and it's almost become received wisdom, but I didn't see any dropping off. Apart from the bolluck he dropped in the final minutes of the final game, obviously.

For Me:

1. Sell Yates - Replace (Striker)
2. Sell Fulton - Replace (Midfield)
3. OB - Replacement (Attacking Mid)
4. Sell Cooper - Replace (Under 21)
5. Defender of some form - Tymon or Key (Back Up)

I don’t know about dropped off necessarily but I do think what he brought to the squad can maybe be found for cheaper than we’d pay for him. I’d say his main quality is energy rather than technical quality, there’ll be a lot out there that can offer that. Only thing we’d probably lose is that championship experience.

As far as I've noticed, I can only recall Swans Jack saying that LOB`s performances dropped off but he does tend to say it every single time LOB is being discussed so while it may feel like it's a widely held belief, I'm not convinced that is actually the case. [Edit- just checked and he's made 3 of the last 9 posts in this thread and said it in 2 of them!]

2 million Euros would be totally inadequate. He's performed well enough to merit a better return than that. The only qualification to that is if we have someone better lined up as a replacement for less, which seems unlikely.

His last 3 games weren't so good, especially the last two. The job was done by then to be fair.
