Summer Transfer Window

McBurnie is injury prone and nowhere near where he was.. Luton fans don't even think Morris is Championship standard now. We do need someone who can hold the ball up and offer an aerial goal threat.
Morris can both hold the ball up and definitely offers an aerial goal threat. Apart from his fantastic season in 22/23 with 20 goals and 8 assists, his Premier League return of 11 goals and 5 assists is pretty impressive. His 8 and 3 record last season in a struggling side is also a decent return. The only concern for me are his weak passing capabilities. In any other position that would be a deal breaker.

The bottom line here is that last season with a £4.5 million profit on player trading we still lost over £15 million. Unless we get an unexpected sale, I see us making a loss on player sales, which is a concern as far as P & S is concerned. We will need some frees and low cost signings to satisfy these requirements.

We're going to have to sell strikers before we buy any more
Cullen and Vipotnik will probably stay
Kuha and Yates (£) will probably go
Bianchini is clearly not fancied by Sheehan and ought to go
So with Wales here, there's room for one more striker
Out wide we now have Inoussa Ron Ginnelly and Iom plus some good youngsters in Parker Wilson and Govea. Wales can also play wide
Ginnelly needs to go down a division for some less demanding game time
We also need a RB/CB plus a first choice LCB plus another CB who can cover Tymon
Then a Grimes replacement LOB if affordable
Busy summer!

I like the sound of Mubama in the article above.
So do I, but I can't see us getting another promising youngster having signed Wales. Sheehan will certainly want an experienced 9, if Vipotnik leaves.

We knew what we were getting with Vipotnik, as he was terrible defensively with Bordeaux. Even though he's improved somewhat this season, he will probably continue to be a weak link when it comes to our pressing game.

Depends how good he is. If he played for City in the Cup, he can't be far away. Could be another Tammy Abraham in the making.

Luton only have one more year of parachute payments because they were relegated after one season, and much of that is going towards the new stadium.

Everything being equal I'd go for McBurnie over Morris, but I think McBurnie would command a higher salary. Chances are neither move will happen, but either would be a very congruent signing. Morris averaged twice as many touches per 90 minutes as compared to Vipotnik last season. That sort of work ethic in combination with our midfield would quite likely make us the top performing side out of possession in the league.

Vipotnik always seems as if he's got 2 bags of cement around his ankles. Would sell him if i had the opportunity.
