Summer Transfer Window

Sheff Utd paid 23m for him 5 years ago. Like his style of play but in 5 season with them he has only scored 8 goals

Other than the 20 game loan spell he had with us when he scored 10 goals he has failed to deliver.
0,3,1,0,4 goals last 5 seasons in 108 appearances.

So no thank you. Not paying top wages for that record. Our Liam at 12 a season is better production
Just interested in what you like about his style of play? What I see is another (potentially streaky) Yates or Cullen. Not really equipped to either hold the ball up or run away from defenders. A hard NO - particularly as his salary expectations will be eye watering!

I dont want him either but he is a lot more agile and trickier than Yates and VIP

Brewster has struggled with injury and competing with 4 strikers at Sheff Utd.

No consistency from him and the way he celebrated his goal against us rules him out 😉🫡

so what are the rules around how many foreign players you can have in your team or sign in any one year etc
Players who can get a work permit=crack on.

You can have upto 4 non WP players but have to meet certain criteria. Once those players are here for 12 months then they obtain a WP.

The new guy will certainly take up 1 of the 4 non WP places but uncertain on Widell.

Good link for checking WP

Quick look and it seems that Widell now is eligible for a WP but didn't in Jan.
Not sure how that one works.

The cap would help plus the extra minutes for his club since January.
Not sure because he signed in Jan and wouldn't have been eligible meant that they needed to put him through as a non WP player at the time
Or
Have they since applied for a WP meaning that he doesn't take 1 of the 4 non WP slots.

Really unsure on this one. If I had to call it then he has a WP.
Will make a difference with recruitment.

If he was signed and loaned back immediately then we wouldn't have had to apply for a work permit at all as he was never doing work in this country.

The cap and international appearance for Sweden would have made all the difference in eligibility
Unless the law has been changed there was a time when a player had to get 5/6 caps to enable him to get a work permit. Also, isn't the league a player is trying to be signed from have to be in a certain category?

A few Plymouth fans think we’re interested in Randell, their defensive midfielder. Bar the poor performance at the .com he’s been decent. At 24 a good age profile

Free agent.
Right winger.
5 years with Blackburn.
35 to 40 appearances in 1st 4 seasons. 21 appearances this season.
23 years old.
18 goals in 170 appearances so averaging 4 goals a season.

Watched his highlight reel titled Crazy Skills, Goals and Assists and it was as boring as I've watched in a long time
