I just don't see us signing a striker until we get rid of one - most probably Yates.
We still have other area's of concern across the pitch where we're particularly light on numbers.

That starting No 9 for Porto in the Club World Cup is not to be sniffed at. Porto needed to win that game, final group game, to get into last 16 and they chose him to lead the line. As maligned as the CWC has been on the boards all the clubs there were putting out their best teams and best players because of the money at stake.

June 25th would have been 2 days after he started as No 9 for Porto in the CWC. That may have triggered inquiries from us and others.

Fair play as small as that twitter account is he did post that back then.
