Summer Transfer Window

His injury record looks good to be fair, looks like he was only out for 19 days last season.
I would say, we seem to be thin defensively and it always feels like the area you take a chance on is the one where injuries occur.

I did post recently that it's good to have these injuries now rather than the end of August as the transfer window is fast approaching.
I’m not sure if it’s true but apparently he was playing through injury for large parts of last season. Just hope it isn’t another Pederson type of signing.

We know we have quite a few things we need to improve on to make sure we are ready to go in a couple of weeks.”

The Swans boss also delivered an update on the fitness of a handful of players who were unavailable for the clash with the Grecians.

Ben Cabango, Ricardo Santos, Filip Lissah, Jisung Eom and Zeidane Inoussa were all absent at St James Park.

And Sheehan confirmed Santos is set to miss the start of the season after suffering a knee injury when landing awkwardly in the opening stages of the midweek fixture at Cheltenham.

“We are without three centre-halves and two wingers at the moment,” he said.

“Anyone who was at the Cheltenham game will know about Ricardo. He had a shocking landing, and he will be out for a while now as he hyperextended his leg.

“Ben Cabango is incredibly important to us, and we are going to get him scanned again as he has a little something in his calf which we need to look further into.

“Filip Lissah turned his ankle, the same as we had with Jisung, and Inoussa was left out as a precaution.”

I could be wrong but Neath described this window as superb, so presumably Andrew’s post was at least partly aimed at him. And Andrew is well known for not attending home games in the past as a protest against our former owners.

Thanks for clarifying on Neath Jack's behalf Cadleigh, indeed he's given your post a thumbs up. I get it now. Weird way of doing it, but I guess we got there in the end eh.

Anyway, for me, the old owners are history. That was then, this is now. I'm looking forward to the start of the season, got my Lorient and Sheffield United tickets. Can't wait.

Didn't mention anything about new faces or the need for them 🤔

So two full backs that could probably be covered by one or two loans?

Fulton is absolutely good enough to play as back up.

Is anyone seriously expecting/hoping for more than a comfortable upper mid table season?
Zero ambition will kill us, as for your view of Fulton, words fail me. Stevie Wonder could see he's not nearly good enough.

So Santos is out for a long period, Cabango out for a while, Lissah back soon. So basically we need 2 Defenders, Left Back, Midfield and Striker. Oh and possible Keeper if Fisher Goes. I'm I worried? 🙄🙄

Should have used Parker today CB to test him and bed him in not use bloody Tymon at CB these youngsters won’t ever get a chance.

At this rate we masewell keep Yates and Ginnelly.

I'll say it now and be the dramatic one. I have a bad feeling about the start of the season. I already thought we would struggle at start, but with the youth not being up to par and with the injuries, I fear it might get worse before it gets better.

The youth not even getting a chance in a pre season game with the injuries isn’t a good look, let’s hope apart from Santos the injuries won’t be major and we can quietly get a few through the door in the next 7-10 days.

It does seem Sheehan when he likes a player he sticks with them. You can put Fulton and Cullen into that bracket. I would of been throwing in youth alongside Burgess. I imagine Lissah will be the one to step in. But I fear Fulton will be starting on first day of season in defense. I'll say it now. Swansea 1 - Middlesborough 4. Oh god I hope I'm wrong 😂
