Summer Transfer Window

Translation: we haven't spent any money for a couple of weeks so the usual suspects are getting Aggy.
If that's how you want to look at it, it's your choice but not necessarily correct.
Some people will agree with you but some won't.

We are clearly very thin on the ground with only 3 senior defenders fit after our last pre season game.
Nothing to worry about though 🙈

No need to worry about Bianchini we have cover out wide and to a certain extent we can alternate Franco and Fulton for the defensive central midfielder, but a c/back, a versatile defender to cover centre and f/backs, but more importantly we need that special commodity - a consistent goalscorer.
I would probably agree there. If we get in a holding midfielder then it allows more fluidity for Galbraith to cover RB and Widell capable of covering out wide.
We also have Wales and Sam Parker capable of covering out wide.

What if we go out and sign two defenders before the window closes and then Cabango and Santos are fit again? We've then got two defenders that we don't need anymore.

The club can't afford to be as panicky and knee-jerk as too many of the supporters are.

We need a signing or new link to come out ASAP. Some posters are a bit sensitive today 🙈🤣

PS-Only joking before knickers are got in a twist 😉

But dragging it out , probably means spending a little more than anticipated...or doing without.

You say "dragging it out" like we're the only ones in the equation. Other clubs are involved too, with their own interests and ambitions.

Too many people think that transfers work like they do on computer games.

Ok, senior players now.

Naughton
Christie
Delcroix
Darling
Pedersen
Tjoe a On

All the above out the door!

Santos
Burgess

Only 2 through the door. A cover Left back and another defender will certainly be used in the squad throughout the season.
This doesn't fall on getting one up on a forum, we are short on numbers defensively.

Are you seriously suggesting that Christie, Pedersen and Tjoe a On need to be replaced?

Naughton is the biggest miss by far out of that lot purely because of his versatility and I do think we need to try and find someone who can cover a position or two. Otherwise, no biggie.

All players were signed to be part of the squad and not to be injured or not up to it. We got lucky last season with very few injuries, if we are planning on not replacing those players or getting 2 in to replace those 3 or 4 if you count Naughton then we are doing so with fingers crossed we have no injuries......eyes closed and hoping for the best.

It doesn't need to be done expensively especially if it's done right with plenty of planning and hard work.

I dont do computer games, if I want something i buy it, if I dont , sometimes i regret not doing so.

If we say Santos and Burgess are the replacements for Delcroix and Darling, then the only player who contributed anything who needs to be replaced is Naughton, who started 9 Championship games and came off the bench 14 more times.

The others Daps listed:

Christie - 2 starts, 9 sub appearances
Tijoe-A-On - 1 sub appearance
Pedersen - Fuck all

If we don't have young players coming through who can contribute 2 starts and 10 sub appearances, we may as well close the academy.

Lissah is probably the only viable option. I would even suggest that Galbraith covers right back before Key.

Luckily due to no real injury issues last season, Christie and Tjoe a On only had the game time you lost above.
I would hope Santos comes in as the Christie/Naughton replacement, we then look at a CB to cover Cabango/Burgess and a loan LB to cover Tymon.
Guaranteed if we go thin defensively then we will get caught out with injuries, as we have done this pre season......if that's not a warning then I don't know what is.
