Summer Transfer Window

If we sign a mercenary, out of contract for 4-8 weeks at centre half, albeit on inflated wages I would say that would be necessary because that gap must be filled
Get a Striker in. Midfielder and Defender and I'll be happy. If I was greedy I would replace Fisher and a left back. But can't have it all.

Fans stopped going because of the Manager/s, sorry but that's not a real fan and an excuse.....sounds more like a petulant child not getting what they want than a real fan.
I'm sorry but it's nonsense, I understand fans not being happy with a manager and/or how the team is performing etc but walking away from your club because of that is just ridiculous. I understand the expense side also before that is brought out.

If it's your team, you support them through the bad aswell as the good times.

It isn’t ridiculous - it’s a choice and I made it. Who the f*ck are you anyway? Self professed Superman?

Were you at Preston in 81? Leyton Orient , Colchester, Aldershot and Wolves 87’88?

That's the thing, it's a double edged sword.
People who don't go come out with the comment you have delivered.
People who go then like I have stated will say the ones who don't go are not real fans.
It's not black and white and doesn't come with a rule book.

My discussion is, anyone who stopped because of Martin and/or Williams but stuck through the rubbish of let's say Alan Cork reign is not being honest with themselves(only an opinion). I would even say the football under Hollins was painful at times but we were winning games but yet he wasn't rewarded with good players after the title season.

I know some won't like reading this and hope that people can read it more with an open mind.
That went well didn’t it

"I doubt if we’re short of cb come the Middlesbrough game Fulton will be playing at cb."
I'll rearrange it for him "Fulton will not be playing at CB for the Middlesbrough game, even if we're short there". Bring back proof reading. I was talking about the lack of proof reading in the press, with a journalist from the BBC, and he said "tell me about it! Nobody bothers now, and it's wrong".

I tick all the above... but found the RM and LW era seeing far fewer games like most fans

Yep, self processed Superman🤣

Too young for Preston(although I have the shirt) and too young for 87/88.
It's not ridiculous, I can't help if that offends you but some person can out do you with the 1964 FA Cup semi final I am sure.

Sure some people were bored with Harry Gregg tenure but different days and principles to today.
