why have ticket prices risen?
the silly money that came into the game from Sky et al...driving up transfer fees

I get the physical impairment bit...and yes there aere many who canno afford tickets butbits a vicous circle....they are many who watch at home via sticks or streama who dont fall into those categories....tje xlub needs revenue ....the availabilty of "pirate" viewing is makimg things worse

Pirate viewing is there mainly because football isn't providing the level of service that people in 2025 generally expect.

Fast forward 10 years and if there was no more 3pm blackout, e-season tickets made available with a reliable feed, and priced at a reasonable price, then it would drive piracy out of the game. Everyone wins.

Football and football clubs can moan all they like about piracy, but it's a problem mainly of their own making.

Agreed. It’s insane that despite us actively wanting to spend money at the club people are having to look into things like Firesticks which see no money invested in any tv services at all.

I live abroad, renewed a season TV package after a year away. Yesatarday the stream kept buffering, so I emailed support about the lack of service since the pre season games. Their reply was just a list of generic links, which felt dismissive and didn’t address the problem. Who is charge of this operation? how can we escalate it?
Stream AMG. They provode the service on behalf of Swansea. When you get an email, always make sure you reply back again with same email. That then goes back to them. I have tried to reach out to marketing and media before. I got somewhere and after lots of emails last year they finally admitted it was there fault with audio etc. As for this year, with buffering, they replied with usual crap.

I just got a response from Swansea Trust.

Thanks

I've had a couple of other similar issues reported to me yesterday so I'll raise them with the club and come back to you as soon as I can.

I’m sending one on Monday. It could potentially be a real revenue generator for the club. Anthony the commentator is good and was always good with a co-commentator - yes I enjoyed Wyndham.
Never used to have any technical issues despite having a much slower internet connection three years ago.
As with the ticketing problems - get the bloody basics right!
Not sure if it will help but got Swansea Trust to look into it and got this reply.

Thanks

Well if you wanted a laugh, another poster on here said its a ram issue 😂😂😂. And our PC's are outdated. Honest you couldn't make it up. It is not us it was them. I have emailed the club. I'll try my best to get answers.
Be fair. I had problems every game for years. Lightning strike blew my PC etc. Bought a new one and no buffering every since. After reading up on a new PC RAM was stated as being important for streaming/online game playing. Just trying to help others. I have had no buffering problems since my new PC so if it was solely the club stream I should still have the buffering issues and I have none. Want to laugh, fine go ahead.

That new equipment PC and latest router and instantly all the live tv channels on Amazon dont buffer anymore.

All those TV stations and SwansTV did not fix THEIR streaming the SAME DAY I got new equipment so in my case it is definitely down to my equipment.

I apologise if I came across a bit harsh. But you have to understand that I have had years of this issue and its frustrating when people at Swansea and then hearing others blaming the fans and put own equipment for the fault. I understand you was trying to help, but I have gotten tired of the situation. The club has admitted fault in the past and yesterday was again their fault. I am speaking with the Swans Trust which you might of seen has also had reports. It's not a pop mate, sorry if it sounds like it was, but it gets very frustrating when people tell you, that you are the problem when we are putting money into the club to get shit service

people telling you you are the problem, I totally get that

I am not saying that there is nothing wrong at their end. As I just said above. New PC and new router and I have zero buffering from SwansTV or the tons of live TV channels on Amazon. All those companies and SwansTV didnt fix their streaming problems the same day I got new equip.

I thought maybe RAM but someone who works in the industry posted it was not and that Live streams are ..... cant explain what he said. But maybe what worked for me is what works for some others. I bought a cheap ass Micro PC for 160 and Spectrum gave me the latest router. So through put on the router? RAM on the PC? Latest CPU on PC? I have absolutely no idea. I am no techie. But my issues with SwansTV and all other live broadcasts disappeared the same day.

I had a 10 yr old router and a 10 yr old PC

The club and the streaming company absolutely have to sort out the problems. At 180 for a season. Lets round that up to 200 then for every 1000 supporters that dont buy that because of the buffering then that is 200K in lost revenue. That is probably at least 1 players wages at 4k/week

WE have fans all over the world since our premiere league days. So its probably thousands not just one thousand who dont buy the streaming pass. That quickly runs into the millions in lost revenue.

I know at least one problem my new equip wont solve and that is delayed coverage of the game. You tune in and lose the first 10, 15 30 minutes of the game until the stream is up.

I just looked at 3 of the top 6 in my FPL Jack Army League. 1 is in Somalia and another in Egypt. The club should think about all those overseas fans who have long since given up buying streaming passes because of the poor coverage. All the Ki and EOM fans in S Korea. All the new ones from Modric etc etc etc

Yeah totally. And I should of taken your feedback as that. Trying to help. Emotions run high so apologies again. I recently got a new PC my self in last 6 months. Putting aside the Buffering yesterday, it's day light robbery with Swans TV service. From streams finishing early audio issues last year, no stream at all to not airing until 30 minutes later. I submitted questions on the club forum they undertook and nothing. Plus on top of that they ignore any messages on twitter. Let's hope at least something will come of this with speaking with the trust.

Spot on. You would think they would make it a priority to make a better service especially with the growth of the club. I'm not asking them for Snoop to Co appear at half time, I'm just asking for the basics to get right 👌👌

With regards to attending games, I live in SE London and the cost of return trains would be an additional £2,500 a season that I simply can’t justify. For the first 4/5 seasons I lived here I kept my season ticket but that had to go. That’s not including the 10hr round trip which as a self-employed person is not feasible these days. So the sensible option - which also puts a few quid into the club - is Swans TV.

But when you’ve been charged over £100 since the end of last season and only actually managed to get 2 part-games of footy for that (the pre-season friendlies didn’t stream for me) and an app that doesn’t work at all… it does leave a bit of a sour taste. I’ve emailed the providers several times who have told me the decision is with the club but I’ve not been provided details of who that person is so I can follow up with them.

I find it incredibly annoying at a match when someone decides 5 mins in they want to go to the loo… or 15 mins before half time folk start filing out for a pint. Imagine that but it’s every 3 mins of the game so you can’t actually watch what you’ve paid for. It pulls you completely out of the match. As has been said several times above… it’s really not that complicated a service that they are charging a premium for. When people can amateur live stream protests/marches, school sports days, unboxing videos of the latest tat… it really does make you pull your hair out. And the service has already been cut back significantly from the days where we had pre-match interviews with Leon and Trunds, multiple live commentators, half time highlights and commentary…. Now it goes live 30 secs before KO if you’re lucky, some tweets read at half time and Anthony O’Connell is on the bus home before the players have left the pitch.

Fair play to you for having a season ticket at the time and keeping it for so long. You like many others should never justify if you should or should not be at games. For me personally I want to put money into the club, that's why I pay the Swans TV fee. At same time I do not judge those who use other services. But when the service is this bad and has been for years its becoming ridiculous. The service like you said has gone from half time in studio, and having 2 commentators. They even tried to stop Jack's at home, which I'm not bothered about, but still. That aside, I absolutely hate how they put the stream live literally 30 seconds before it starts. Yesterday they actually put it on 25 minutes before the match and I was like wow, maybe no issues. Then we had the issues. I'm at that point now where though I have paid for the season pass if it doesn't improve I'm willing to watch the full match replay they put on YouTube, with 1 eye shut 😂 and watch it the next day, while not looking at the thumbnail 😂😂. I would encourage you reach out to the media team with Swansea. media@swanseacity.com and also the Trust at info@swanstrust.co.uk. I got a response from the Trust and they are getting in touch with the club. Yes this is all effort and time, but we all need to be complaining to get voices heard.

It’s surely easy money for the club to sort, a no-brainer. I’ve been missing an email address at the club itself so appreciate that - I’ll forward the emails from the providers and see if I can get any sense out of them, along with the trust - thank you for those. I think until now - and I’m probably not alone - I’ve been apprehensive to complain as technically not actually living in Brussels (my favoured spot to watch matches from) I wasn’t sure where I would stand but given they are happy to take the money each month then they need to provide the service. As has been mentioned above there are other options but like you I’d rather the money I spend go to the club… but it needs sorting. Thankfully I haven’t done season pass this year - im on monthly renewals - but I won’t continue if it stays like this.

Always reply back to the Stream AMG one. And copy and paste same email you sent the otherwise they won't reply.

I have spent years on their back and pushed them last year to fix the audio out of sync issue which lead to them admitting fault.

I won't rest on this. I have paid the annual fee. So taken the hit. I'm too old in the tooth, well I'm not that old 😆😆to be messing around with links and other things.

Swansea have taken off the email addresses off their site and now it's a form. But Google will help as well to find email addresses.

Are using Nord VPN? I hear Belgium is a good place to use, I am a resident there 😆😆. Tried to visit other countries yesterday, got in my car and traveled. But it was same issue irrelevant of country.
