Talks Not Gone Well?

I'm hearing he's gone to Southampton.

I’ve heard that too. Not ITK or anything, just a friend who’s a fan of a different club entirely. He must have got it from somewhere.

Don’t think anybody will be needing the Samaritans, nothing you can do about a manager moving on to bigger and better things ( now which legend said that ) suggesting that we get rid of him mind is another thing.

Oh well another one comes & goes, not bothered particularly as long as the yanks don't spend the rest of the summer trying to find a replacement.

Track record says they'll make the appointment as close to the first game of the season as per

Listen up, just cast your minds back a few months, the awful walking football, the suicidal playing around that the back that made us easy pickings for even the poorest team in this poor Championship, the almost total meltdowns on this site and the other about a manager who simply "hadn't got a clue"...
Two decent runs in a clusterfuck of a season has got him his move away.
Will he get found out or make a good fist of it? Either way I couldn't care less.
What worries me more is the seemingly clown like new chairman we have in place and a hedge fund running the show that seems more distanced from SA1 than ever.

The.next.level.

Onto the next chapter then.

I think we need to pray the deal for Watson comes off. We no longer have experienced CEO’s or whatever their titles are like Birch and Winter (I’m assuming he’s gone anyway).

I’d be absolutely amazed if Grimes doesn’t follow, so like I’ve said on here before, let’s hope the resident experts are right and he has held us back continually for the past 5 seasons.

Why do you keep conflating Martin and Grimes? There's plenty of us who aren't bothered about Martin, but who like Grimes.

Who is conflating Grimes and Martin? There’s been several on here for years who have told us how sh*t he is, despite the last three managers playing him every second of every game pretty much. So let’s hope they know better.

Not sh"t, overrated, we're still in the championship risc, 5 seasons and captain, yet we're still plodding along in the championship where he is front and centre.. it's not knowing, it's watching 5 years now.. it's like the Tory party being in charge for what now, 13 years and we're still in financial oblivion and NHS waiting lists for millions still

So Southampton have effectively replaced Nathan Jones as permanent manager with someone that was tactically humiliated by Nathan Jones?

That’s delicious.

If it wasn’t for the numpties that will be choosing the next bloke, if this is true, this would be an excellent day. The Bollocks and Bullshit Process Brentmeister tipped into the Solent. Sweet.

As it is, anything could happen.

If he is leaving, the sooner the better. So we have time to sort a replacement
But I think LeonWasTheDogs was right. We’ll get someone in last minute 😤

It’s interesting isn’t it?

Any Luton have improved considerably since Jones left…

OK. I was wondering why you were banging on about Grimes in a thread about Martin, but I can see you were predicting he'd also be leaving. I disagree with you, but not sure how I missed that on my first read of your post. :)
